Got a call from 01163 504007 on my unlisted number. The person said they were from "Loft Insulation Services" and wanted to do a free inspection in my loft. Felt like a scam, as they kept trying to get info about me and the house. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a ring from 0116325874 earlier. A woman said she was an energy advisor for my neighbourhood and asked if I owned the property. I just ended the call right away. This isn't the first time I've gotten this sort of call, but from other numbers.

Some bloke with an Asian accent rang our charity line, claiming he wanted to assist with our gas and electric bills. He started off by saying, "Hi, how’re you doing?" The first guy was polite and spoke English clearly, but the second caller later on had such a thick accent that I struggled to catch what he was saying. It was pretty obvious it was a scam. Yesterday, I received a call from a number ending in ###, and today it was from 01163. They claimed that my computer had been compromised, which was their excuse for contacting me. I ended up having to dash to the supermarket and purchase six Google gift cards, each costing ### pounds. Once that little errand was completed, I was instructed to connect again via TeamViewer, which I had foolishly downloaded, believing it would be beneficial. To be honest, I suspect the only reason they reached out was to gain access to my computer. It’s disheartening. They introduced themselves as Jerry from Microsoft, and we were on the phone for roughly two hours. Ugh! After that exhausting chat, I reached out to a mate, who informed me that Microsoft never cold calls customers for computer repairs. I hope this information proves useful to others.

Got a call from 001163183616 today around midday. It was a robotic voice, obviously a computer. They said they were HMRC and warned me about a possible lawsuit for tax evasion. I figured it was dodgy because (a) I know I’m not in trouble, and (b) HMRC wouldn't usually reach out like this for real cases. So, I just ignored it and didn’t press 1 like they asked.

001163183616 rang claiming to be from HMRC. Left a message on my voicemail. It was a weird American voice saying her name was Claire, telling me to call back because I supposedly have a case against me. The odd part is she said my caseworker works for the NYPD!! I’m certain I’ve paid all my taxes properly, and HMRC would send a letter if there was an issue. I reckon this kind of call could really upset someone who’s more vulnerable!

Got a couple of calls from 01163040636. The second time it was a bloke with an Asian accent who somehow knew my name and started yammering about my computer being messed up. Getting loads of calls from numbers starting 01163, but the last six digits keep changing. They’re always from scammers saying there’s an issue with my computer, sometimes pretending to be Microsoft. Most of them have strong Asian accents. That area code is for Leicester, right? It’s crazy how this kind of obvious fraud goes on and no one seems to stop them or catch the people behind it. I block them using BT call protect every time, but they just keep coming from different numbers.

01163 500068 rang me at 9:30am on Friday 24th March 2017, only silence on the other end, no one said a word, just kept ringing like they wanted to see if anyone was there. I phoned back and an american voice told me “the number you have dialled is not in service”. This isn’t the first time they’ve called and left me feeling annoyed and bothered for no good reason.
