Someone said they were from Virgin Media. Since Virgin Media outsources their call centres to India, it's quite easy to get tricked. But Virgin Media doesn't just ring you out of the blue to ask about your internet.
Seems like the goal is to get folks to hand over access to their PC or share account passwords with crooks.
Honestly, if Virgin Media didn't keep calling customers trying to sell upgrades, maybe these scams wouldn't work so well.
