Got a call on my landline from 01159 163418. Some voice said it was from my bank but never said which one, said there were 2 odd transactions on my account but didn’t give any details. Then an automated message told me to press 1 or 2 to respond. Sounds dodgy to me. I just hung up straight away.

Got a recorded message from 01159161881 saying they were from 'Bank Security'. They asked me to confirm two transactions on my account - one supposedly from Amazon and the other an overseas transfer. Pretty sure it’s a scam tricking people to give out their banking info.

I received a call from 01159### and it was a rather alarming experience. An Asian-sounding woman left a voicemail about a hospital appointment, but she didn’t specify which hospital it was for. It felt very dodgy. I must have replayed the message half a dozen times, as I struggled to grasp everything she said-it was quite perplexing! I’m really left wondering why they’re contacting me in the first place and if they might somehow access my details by listening to that message again. It's quite unsettling, to say the least!

My cousin got two calls from this number, one of them at like 5.30 in the morning. One caller claimed they had permission to tow her car, but she doesn’t even have one. The other call warned she’d have her power disconnected within 24 hours. Sounds like scams to me?

I recently received a rather bothersome call from an unknown number. The caller was extremely tenacious, allowing my phone to ring incessantly. Since I didn’t recognise the number, I decided against picking up. After a while, they seemed to lose patience and hung up. To be honest, I always steer clear of answering calls from unknown numbers or those that slip my mind. There are so many scammers lurking nowadays! Greetings, I received a rather alarming call earlier today from the number 01159###. At first, it seemed to be an automated message, but then I was connected to a so-called adviser. They inquired about my name and my postcode. I only provided my first name along with my postcode, but I soon realised it was a dodgy operation. They made some outrageous claims, including that all my assets would be seized, even my passport, and threatened me with arrest. Feeling uneasy, I promptly informed them to not ring me again and reported the incident to HMRC for good measure. Thankfully, I feel reassured about the safety of my personal information. It was genuinely frightening and caught me completely off guard. I’m relieved I didn’t disclose any additional details. The person on the line had a distinct Indian accent and mentioned ext ###. I received a call from this number on my private line-totally unlisted! The caller was quite cheeky, attempting to weave in some clever word tricks while making presumptions about the homeowner. They claimed to be affiliated with a local boiler programme, whatever that’s supposed to mean. Sadly, before I could probe further and ask how they got hold of my number, they decided to end the call abruptly. Quite the dodgy character, if you ask me!

I've received quite a few of those nuisance calls lately. Each time I answer, there's a lot of commotion going on in the background, and a chap keeps droning on with, ‘hello, can you hear me?’ I let out a choice swear and hung up in frustration. After ensuring the line was clear by checking for a dial tone, I picked up the receiver again, only to realise I was still connected to that persistent voice. It wasn't until I yanked the cord from the socket that we finally severed the connection.

Over the last couple of months, we've noticed charges for calls to this number (01159 ###) listed on our statement as being from Long Eaton. There were five calls during March and April, and there seems to be a comparable number of calls on the bill prior to that.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, as mentioned previously. It turned out to be a scam - they were threatening legal action against me. They’ll get what’s coming to them in the end; after all, what you put out into the world often comes back around. Seems this pillock hasn’t realised that yet!
