At the start of the call, there was a rather long pause. An Indian gentleman introduced himself as representing Nationwide Energy Ltd, claiming to discuss our electricity supply. Shortly after, I received another call from an 0800 number, and it appeared to be the same chap! How amusing! 🙄

I keep receiving calls from someone claiming to "need to chat with the business owner." Then they decide to ring again, and again, only for there to be utter silence on the other end. It's baffling how phone companies haven't taken action to terminate their service. What on earth is going on?

Much like many others here, I found this rather incomprehensible fellow was evidently named Max! He was keen to speak with the business proprietor yet seemed only capable of regurgitating his pre-written spiel about my telephone line. I had no inclination to squander my time on that, so I suggested he take a journey instead!

Typical scenario really. There was a brief pause before the caller spoke, then they inquired about the business owner. I told them to stop calling us and they promptly disconnected. I've now put them on my blocked list.

I received a couple of calls from 01158881177. The first time, they simply cut off the line, and when they rang back, they were after the business owner. It struck me as a bit suspicious, and judging by what others have said, I wasn’t alone in thinking that. I informed them the owner wasn’t around, and they promptly ended the call!

I inquired about the business proprietor when it was revealed to me that it was a limited company. They proceeded to request a specific director by name, and upon learning he wasn't around, they abruptly ended the call. What a sham! Do these individuals genuinely believe that we’re all gullible?

I received a call from this number previously on the 4th of September, 2019. They tried again this morning, seemingly unimpressed with my response from before! The caller requested to speak to my other half by name and then threw in a mention of the “business owner”. When I inquired who was on the line, the chap introduced himself as Sanjay from “Business Choices”. I made it clear that he had messed up as there was no one by the name he mentioned, nor was there a business in this household. He kept insisting he was right and needed to discuss the landline. I reiterated that his information was incorrect. We're registered with the Telephone Preference Service, but as expected, unscrupulous, deceptive, or overseas callers don't bother with such registers - the caller should be noted as Business Choices.

I received a rather intrusive call from an unidentified number, apparently looking to chat with the proprietor of the establishment. Since I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, it’s quite clear they shouldn’t have been reaching out at all, regardless of whether the business owner was present. Their blatant disregard for the TPS guidelines is definitely indicative of a rather dodgy operator.
