Got a call from a polite sounding Asian guy claiming to be from Plusnet. He said he needed my "assistance" with an issue on my internet connection. Something felt off, especially when he started asking loads of questions. After reading the other comments about TalkTalk and BT scams, I thought it was worth putting this out there as a heads up.

Got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk, claimed to have all my security details, sounded pretty legit at first. They kept chatting and then asked about my online banking and stuff. I just ended the call, definitely a scam. They said they were from Openreach and called me at 8am on a Sunday, which seemed off. What’s worrying me is I downloaded an app as they told me and gave it permissions, so now they have access to my phone. The caller even mentioned my IP address and said I was in California! Really strange, don’t know what to think.
