Got a call from someone claiming to be with a company I work with, but they were trying to push electricity contracts on me. Totally not their area of business. I told the bloke to buzz off and made it clear he wasn’t from the actual company. After that, I reported both him and the number to the real company, and they’re looking into it now. Definitely nothing to do with the firm they said they were from.

They said they were from JD Williams, which is a firm in Manchester and not linked to Nottingham at all, and started asking about our gas, electric and TV suppliers. Sounds like a dodgy trick to collect info for scams. Best to block the number if you can, or just don’t answer if you can’t.
