I had a rather unpleasant experience today with a call centre that rang me up. They claimed to be local and wanted to know which provider I was using for my phone. After that, they inquired if I had subscriptions to Sky Movies or Sports. Then, out of the blue, they said something about having a colleague who could do a comparison for me. I received a call today from someone who knew my name, claiming to be from a phone comparison website. I chose not to engage and ended the conversation. Strangely, this is the second time I've been contacted by this number today alone! They also reached out twice on Saturday and three times on Sunday. Fingers crossed they stop soon. At first, I was a bit anxious, thinking it could be someone trying to see if my house was unoccupied. I’d read somewhere that some thieves do this kind of thing.

I wasn’t entirely convinced and said I wanted to speak with my husband first, so I asked them to ring back later. They said they would call again this evening. Honestly, they seem rather insistent. I'm left wondering if they might not be entirely above board. Fingers crossed they’re genuine! Thankfully, I didn’t divulge any personal information, but they did have my name and address already, which raised a few red flags for me.
