Got a call recently from someone claiming to be from the NHS, asking questions about jabs and telling me I’d be getting some sort of certificate. When I pressed for more details and told them to explain what it was about, the person got all flustered and just ended the call. Then today, a number almost the same popped up (just a couple of digits changed) and a bloke with a similar script called. When I started putting him on the spot with questions, he got rude and then dropped the call.

These calls are just scams, thankfully my new phone has this unknown number setting that mutes any calls not saved in my contacts and sends them straight to voicemail. Got a call claiming to be from the NHS COVID team. They asked if I’d had my vaccines, any side effects, and if I’d tested positive. Then suddenly asked about my life insurance. I said I had it, but I wasn’t giving details. The bloke then started saying I could claim some kind of benefit for having had the jabs and not catching COVID. When I corrected him that I *had* tested positive, he got all defensive and accused me of lying. At one point, when I asked if I’d really lied, he lost it, swore at me, told me to piss off, then hung up. Strange little encounter, that one.
