I saw an ad on Gumtree for a receptionist role at a pharmacy in Tower Hamlets, but it turned out to be a bit dodgy. They said you had to have a certificate to land the job, and to get that certificate, you had to pay for a course over the phone. Only after paying would they supposedly guarantee the position. Seems like a bit of a scam to me.

I got a call from a guy who sounded Indian, called himself Rogain or something like that. He mentioned he was with a company - I couldn’t really catch the name properly but it kinda sounded like ‘VR Experts’. He was trying to pitch me a job, but it all seemed quite dodgy to me.

I got a random call about home insurance which was a bit odd since I never asked for it. Turns out, my letting agent had used lettingshub for our reference checks, and that’s probably where they got my number from. Really didn’t want that call at all.
