They rang me up today from One Life funeral plans out of the blue. Honestly, these cold calls aren’t something you want bothering you, and what kind of person would trust a firm that has to call like this?

When it comes to such a sensitive service, I’d rather go with a company that’s well known or, better yet, recommended by someone you know. It’s unbelievable this might even be a scam. I didn’t let the woman finish - just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from some folks about funeral plans, supposedly from One Life. Wasn’t the usual annoying cold call you brace yourself for, to be fair. Had to tell the lady on the phone that this was the last thing I wanted to deal with. I’d rather go with a local company I trust, someone who’d actually deliver proper service. Somewhere in the Home Counties, that’s where I’m at.

Saw the number pop up but didn’t pick up, figured it was just another scam call.

They kept trying to sell me some prepaid funeral plan, which I found really inappropriate, and honestly, it felt a bit like a threat rather than a genuine offer.

I’ve been getting calls from this number on my mobile quite a bit and it made me wonder how they even got hold of it - or if they’re just dialling randomly. So, last night I decided to ring them back from my landline, using 141 first. The person who answered said it was ‘One Life Funeral Planning’. When I looked them up, they do exist and are based in Sheffield. But weirdly, the number has an 0115 code, which is actually Nottingham’s area. That just seemed odd to me.

They just won’t stop ringing me! The person said I’d won some competition, but I told them I never entered anything. I asked them to take me off their calling list but they didn’t listen, kept insisting I had joined this ‘competition’. I kept telling them no and that their calls were bothering me, but they didn’t seem to care, so I ended the call. Honestly, I’d suggest blocking the number if they get in touch with you.

I put my phone number on Facebook for some ad about automated stock trading, just to see what happens. What a dumb move that was! Since then, I've had more than 40 calls from loads of companies, mostly from London but also places like Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Austria. They just keep ringing non-stop, even when I tell them to stop bothering me. It's so annoying!
