Got a robo call saying I owe money to the tax office, sounded like a scam. Just blocked the number.
19 days
I answered the call and after a brief silence, some automated voice started talking about a letter from HMRC supposedly being sent back and warned me about possible legal trouble. It told me to press 1 to talk to an agent. I didn't respond at all, and after a moment it just said "goodbye" and ended the call. No person ever came on the line, but I’m putting this up as a warning since it seems like a classic setup for a scam.
