Honestly, it's best not to pick up or reply. Just block the number straight away. They're obviously just scammers trying their luck.

They’ve been ringing non stop all week long, so I just blocked the number.

They kept insisting I’d been in an accident, which wasn’t true at all. Apparently, they got my details from some accident department or something!

this number rang me up today, they wanted to speak with someone i said was no longer alive. they just said “oh” and ended the call straight away.

The person I spoke to insisted they’d removed my number from their system and said I wouldn’t get any more calls, but I only spoke to them recently, so time will tell. If you’re getting the same calls, it might be worth giving it a shot.
