I never pick up for numbers I don't know, so I just looked it up here and saw the comments. Got a call from a number kinda like this one, only the last three digits changed, and it was another scam too.

Them: "Hi, this is Sam from Windows and Doors Insulation. Are you the person in charge of the house?" Me: "Why are you assuming I'm the homeowner? You haven't even found out who I am yet. Who exactly are you trying to reach?" Them: "Alright, no problem. Have a great day." and then they ended the call. It was a young bloke with a local English accent, clearly just following a script - and it wasn't even a convincing one!

He just ignored me and kept going like I hadn’t said a word. I told him he wasn’t paying attention and ended the call. Now I’ve blocked this number for good. I’m sure he’ll ring again, and next time I’ll just keep him chatting to waste his time so he can’t hassle anyone else.
