I received a call at half three this afternoon. The caller mispronounced my name and claimed to represent the Postcode Lottery, stating that I had won a complimentary month and that she was in the process of activating a card for me. Then, just like that, she hung up. It’s rather concerning how she could possibly know I was involved with the PC Lottery without having my bank information. I must admit, it's left me feeling a tad anxious.

27/09/21 - 16:56 - A guy with an Indian accent called, said his name was Peter. He claimed my postcode had won a 50% off discount card, sent through the post, with offers for Tesco and loads of other stores. Then he asked how old I was. When I told him I wouldn’t share my info on the phone, he just said “Alright” and hung up. Seems like a scam to me, but at least he didn’t waste much of my time.

Got a call from a lady supposedly in Pakistan saying she was from the Postcode lottery. She told me I’d won a prize trip for me and my family anywhere in Europe, plus a card that gave 50% off at supermarkets. They said it was some postcode lottery and to receive my voucher they’d deposit 1p into my account. I guessed the next step would be asking for my bank info, so I just told them to shove off.

Dodgy and really annoying scam. They say they’re from some postcode lottery group but won’t say exactly which company. I reckon they’re after your bank info. Got another call from the same lot this month. Told them to take us off their list and stop calling, but they just don’t listen. As soon as they sense you know what they’re up to, they just cut the call. I’ve reported them to the ICO a couple of times already. We’re on the TPS register, so they really shouldn’t be ringing us at all.

Said they were from some postcode lottery and asked for me by a name I haven't used for ages, so obviously their info is super out of date. When I asked where exactly he was calling from, he said Disney World, like it was some kind of joke. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

The caller spoke with a foreign accent and it was hard to catch what they were saying as their English was quite poor. They claimed the call was about a postcode lottery and then asked for my bank details, which made me end the call right away. Pretty sure it was just another scam.

Just received a dodgy call from an overseas woman claiming I’d won some sort of discount voucher in a lottery I never entered! I told her straight that I don’t even participate in lotteries, and she promptly cut the conversation short. Utter nonsense!

Got a call from a bloke named Oscar claiming I won some postcode lottery. Thing is, I never even take part in it. Total scam, he was prying for my bank info to send over the prize money. Definitely NOT falling for that!

Got a call from 0113 824 5734 earlier, they asked me to leave my name and number. Sounds like it’s a Leeds number. Definitely dodgy, so I’d say don’t pick up if they ring you. Scam alert!

Some woman called me, claiming I’d won something from the Postcode Lottery. She was going on about prizes or maybe shopping discounts, I can’t be sure. I asked her to send the details by email instead and never gave out my address. Definitely a scam, watch out!
