Got a ring from someone saying she was Debbie, supposedly from Edinburgh, telling me I’d won a voucher from the postcode lottery. I told her I’m actually a 15-year-old lad from Edinburgh, so she must have the wrong contact. Then she asked for my number and suddenly wanted to meet up! She said her name was Tessa now and gave me a postcode, de15 5et, but claimed she was still in Edinburgh. She was keen on a coffee and cinema date on Sunday. Got a call from an Asian woman who kept using my husband’s name, saying he’d scored a 40-50% discount at Tesco, Asda and loads of deals for the whole family to travel around Europe. First off, the postcode lottery is registered only in my name. Secondly, having actually won £7000 on the postcode lottery before, I know that’s not how they inform winners. And thirdly, there’s no way they should be asking for my bank details just to “activate” a discount card by putting 1p in my account, considering they already have my details from the direct debit set up. Got a call saying I’d won something called the postcode lottery. Told them I never joined and they just cut me off straight away.

Got a call from this number telling me I’d won the postcode lottery and could claim some high street vouchers. I told them that’s brilliant but I don’t even enter that lottery! They just put the phone down after that.

I got a call from 01138245736 claiming I’d bagged a prize in some postcode lottery. They wanted my bank details so they could send a penny as a test or something. I just came up with an excuse and ended the call before it went any further.

They called pretty early, before 9 in the morning. As soon as my voicemail kicked in, they just hung up straight away.

Got a call from a woman with an accent called Rose who said she was from the Postcode Lottery. She told me I’d won some kinda discount card. Definitely a scam! I’ve already told the genuine Postcode Lottery about it and also reported the number to Action Fraud. Afterwards, I just went ahead and blocked the number!

I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be with the postcode lottery, insisting they needed my bank details. Funny enough, they had my name and address, but when I declined to divulge any information, they abruptly ended the conversation. It begs the question, how on earth did they obtain my personal details, including my phone number and address?

Received a call purportedly from the Postcode Lottery, claiming they were sending me a card that would enable me to enjoy discounts, complimentary flights, and even a family holiday. Quite alarming, they had my address and email too. However, it took a sinister turn when they requested my bank details-definitely a scam if ever I’ve seen one!
