Someone called saying my Microsoft account was hacked. I told them I hadn’t even touched my laptop in more than a year. Turns out it was a total scam. They just ended the call after that.

Had a really pushy woman calling claiming to be from the 'Microsoft Tech Support'. She kept dodging any questions about the info she supposedly had. When I asked for a manager, someone else answered who sounded just like her. I hung up a couple of times, but she kept calling back. Then she started threatening me, saying my computer would get 'locked' if I didn’t follow her instructions. Felt pretty intimidating, honestly.

I got a call claiming to be from Microsoft about my PC. The moment I told her I knew it was a con and that I record all my calls, she ended the call sharpish! They've tried loads of tricks before, pretending to be from Microsoft, but usually I keep chatting to waste their time so they can't scam anyone else. Today, just saying I was recording was enough to make them drop the call straight away. It's mad how BT and the government could shut down these scam calls easily if they really cared, same thing with spam and scam emails!

Some bloke rang me saying he was from Microsoft and that hackers were messing with my computer. He tried to get me to install TeamViewer so he could "help". I kinda played along but never actually switched my PC on. He got proper angry when he realised I wasn’t cooperating! Made me laugh!

Somebody said they were from the postcode lottery and I asked if they had a website to check, but they said no. I knew that wasn’t true because the real postcode lottery definitely has one. When I started asking more questions, they just ended the call on me. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

I pointed out that they already possessed a fair bit of my information, although I’m baffled as to how they obtained it. I then politely asked her to hold while I looked into their legitimacy. I even requested she confirm whether they represented the National Lottery, to which she affirmed. However, when I asked her to verify her postcode, the line went dead... just like that. Calling it a SCAM would be an understatement, don't you think?

To "activate" the card, he wanted me to give my bank details so he could send a penny to confirm them. I didn't see why that was needed and told him to give me his bank info so I could send the penny instead. He then said he'd put me through to his supervisor, which I guessed was just the next step in the scam. So I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Got a call from someone claiming they were with the postcode lottery saying my area had just won a prize. The woman on the phone had a strong Indian accent. I just cut her off straight away saying I wasn’t interested and ended the call. For anyone who actually plays the postcode lottery, watch out - don’t give away your bank details just yet. Got a call earlier from someone saying they were with the Postcode Lottery, telling me I'd won a massive prize. She then asked for my bank info to sort the payment, but I told her no way. She kept insisting I had won something big and that I’d lose it if I didn’t act fast. I asked for a number to ring them back, but before I could get it, she just hung up on me.

Somebody called me saying I'd won a discount card from a postcode lottery, but then asked for my bank info to 'verify' it. Bit weird cos if it's a proper lottery, they’d already have your bank details since they pay out the money. Plus, they usually just email you or show up at your door personally if it’s a big prize. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I got a call from a woman who said her name was Yasmeen and claimed she was ringing from the postcode lottery. She said I’d won some prize, which sounded dodgy, and told me I could get discounts at Tesco and other places. I didn’t trust it, so I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.
