So I rang her bank's fraud team straight away and got her card cancelled. Luckily, no strange transactions showed up on her account. Got a call at 5pm on 7th March 2022 but didn’t pick up. No voicemail was left. I have no clue how they found my number since it’s unlisted and I never share it. Maybe they scraped it from a site that asks for date of birth, which makes it easy to guess someone’s age. I’m over 50, so I guess that’s why they targeted me with this “free medical offer”!

I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don't recognise. Honestly, it’s probably the safest bet. That way, scammers don’t get a chance to trick you. Also, if you’re on your mobile, you can simply block those numbers which makes it even easier. Would totally suggest giving it a go!

Got a robo call from someone pretending to be the national crime agency, saying they were about to arrest me and had suspended my national insurance number. Rubbish! You can’t even suspend a NI number. Would be amazing if they could though, would save me loads on NI contributions!

Without a doubt, it's a total scam! I received a call from a robotic voice claiming to be from the National Crime Agency. They insisted I press 1 immediately to speak with an officer, threatening that failure to do so would lead to my arrest. It was quite amusing, really!
