Worthless trying to block these scam calls. The organised crime groups behind these huge tax free scams just keep ringing back using countless fake or spoofed UK landline and mobile numbers. Make sure you REPORT EVERY scam call straight to the cybercrime unit so they can take action. Instructions are shared somewhere down this page. The police still don’t fully understand how big this problem is. HELP THEM BY REPORTING ALL SCAM CALLS. Then complain to your local MP about these scams. Don’t expect someone else to sort it out for you.

They say they’re calling from Curry's. I just hung up and blocked their number straight away. Total scammers. The call shows up as from Leeds - 0113 478 0120. They actually rang me the day before too from that same number.

They rang me a couple of times. I finally got through and chatted with one of them in Hindi/Urdu, politely saying I was aware it was a scam and guessed he was working for some call centre in India. I even mentioned a popular TV show about these scams. He admitted it was a scam but then quickly said they were actually based in Pakistan :D Looks like these schemes have popped up in different countries and seem to be making good money.

Just got a call from someone sayin’ they were with EE. The first bloke said they were sorting out an upgrade on my contract, but when I asked for details, he only had my phone number, nothing else. Then I was passed to a supervisor, and I asked where they were callin’ from, but I don’t think they even knew where the number was faked from. I always try to keep ’em on the line as long as I can if I’m free. It wastes their time and stops ’em from hassling others, plus it’s a bit funny really ;-)
