I picked up this number and there was nothing but silence on the other side. It showed up as coming from "Leeds". Quite odd really.

I simply couldn't make head or tail of what he was rambling on about after he greeted me with "good ma'am!" It felt rather dodgy, so I decided to end the conversation.

They said they were from Currys, but all they wanted to do was sell me phones. Bit sketchy if you ask me.

I inquired about the caller's identity, only to be met with a rather dismissive and impolite response. To add insult to injury, he hung up on me!

I received a call from a lady whose English was quite limited, asserting she was from O2 and droning on about some sort of deal. Since I'm already an O2 customer, I couldn't help but feel dubious. If it were legitimate, I reckon they would have taken the time to verify who I was beforehand. I politely declined her offer, and she just disconnected the line without another word.

I've just had the strangest scam call ever, honestly: - Good afternoon, we're calling to inform you about a fantastic 40% reduction on your bills. - Brilliant! Which bills are we talking about here? - Pardon? - I said, which bills? - Excuse me? - Which services am I receiving a discount for? - I didn't quite catch that, could you say it again? - I have a lot of bills-electricity, broadband, water. Which ones are included? - For your airtime. - Wait, what's that supposed to mean? - Sir, have you experienced any interruptions in your service? - What service are you referring to? - Any service whatsoever. - Not any service. You need to specify. Is it internet? Landline? I can't say I wasn't intrigued by where this back-and-forth was heading. I knew it was a scam from the start, yet I was quite keen to see what they'd supposedly offer, and they couldn't even nail that down!
