Terrible connection, I couldn't understand a single word from the caller. Then a woman rang back from 01633304893, probably the same place since the numbers are so alike - not. Sounds like they’re just throwing random numbers about. Why don’t they just block this nonsense right from the start??

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Microsoft, telling me my PC was at risk and wanted me to check it out right away. I kept her on hold ages since I was busy with other stuff. My computer’s absolutely fine, no issues at all. Just another typical scam, nothing new. Don’t fall for it! I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft yet again! They got all nasty, calling me dumb and accusing me of lying when I said I didn’t trust them. I even quoted Microsoft’s official warning that they never do cold calls. That shut them up quick and the call ended. Honestly, it’s kinda amusing… if you don’t have anything more important to get on with!

I got a call from someone claiming Microsoft had spotted people from abroad hacking into my PC and stealing my data. I just laughed it off, but the caller got all pushy, trying to get me to log on and do what she said. I told her it was nonsense and hung up. Then this same number rang again, but I ignored it. Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was with Microsoft, saying my computer was being hacked while we talked. When I mentioned I’d check with my computer expert, she got all defensive, saying he wouldn’t be able to help cos she wasn't actually from Microsoft. I hung up, but she called back right away sounding really pushy. I said I’d hang up again, and she threatened to keep calling - and she followed through on that!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. She asked how my day was, so I said fine and mentioned my computer was good too. Then she went on to say she was calling about my computer and asked if I was the main user. She said something about a download and hackers trying to get in. I told her cheers but I'll have my son-in-law deal with it and ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Calls from the Leeds area code always get ignored at our place. I’m planning to try a different approach next time these scammers call. If they ask for my name, I’m just gonna refuse to give it - tell them it’s not something they should be asking about since they’re the ones doing the calling. After that, depending on how I’m feeling and how rude they are, I’ll tell them to buzz off.

I received a call from this number, claiming to be from Microsoft’s cybersecurity division. The chap on the line insisted that my computer’s licence ID had been breached and was being misused for all sorts of nefarious activities, including money laundering and fraud. When I questioned why the police hadn’t reached out to me if that were true, he asserted that the authorities lacked the means to handle such cyber-related issues and that only he could assist me. I pointed out that my personal computer hadn't even been powered on for ages, and with that, he abruptly ended the call.

So my husband answered the phone, and honestly, he's a lot more polite than I would be. I probably would have told the lady off, saying she’s part of some dodgy scam and should probably think twice about the path she’s chosen, or else karma’s going to catch up with her. The woman, speaking with an Indian accent, pretended to be from Microsoft and somehow she already had his full name and address - almost definitely from some sort of mailing list. He told her she could send any info in writing and then just hung up. It’s definitely one of those scams.

Received a rather dodgy recorded message this morning. The voice claimed there were two suspicious transactions on my Visa account. However, the caller failed to identify themselves or mention which company they represented. Strangely enough, they didn’t even bother to use my name or provide any details related to an account number. To be clear, I didn’t share any personal details, so it’s safe to say they had no clue who I was or if I even held a Visa account. Seeing as I don’t have one, I’m left with the impression that this was just another attempt at scamming.

I'd like to share my thoughts regarding a call I received recently. They mentioned something about an online order, but I definitely haven’t placed one. Seems like a fraudulent call to me!

So, on the first call, this Indian call centre just cut me off straight away saying they were too busy. Tried ringing back but they ignored me the second time. Then on the third try, some rude woman with an Indian accent started shouting at me, saying I should listen because it was supposedly something urgent from Microsoft. I told her I was too busy messing with scammers and then she got proper nasty and even started making threats. Honestly, I just wish I had five minutes alone with these horrible people.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, said there was an issue with my router. Thought it was pretty decent of them to ring. They told me to get on the computer - I asked which one since we have 9 in use here at the station. The caller said to use the one with my name on it. I told the bloke the inspector's not working till later on, then suddenly the line just cut off. Not really much help, was it? Oh, and when I picked up, I answered with “central station” just to be clear.
