I told them my hearing is perfectly okay, but they said it wasn’t about hearing loss - something about tissue damage in the ears. They mentioned I could be entitled to up to £10,000 compensation and told me to visit a nearby centre they run, apparently located at a football stadium. I said “sorry, what?” a couple of times, and after I asked again for clarification, they just ended the call.3 yearsI received a call from a woman who had a distinct British accent, claiming she was representing a nearby agency. Strangely enough, she seemed to have my complete name on hand. She mentioned that her records indicated I’d worked in a rather loud setting and might be eligible for compensation. The person says, “Hi (surname), our records say you’re in the industrial field. Have you got experience working outdoors?” I start to reply, “No, I hav - ” Then boom, call just cuts off.
