Received a call from what sounded like an Indian call centre. They cut the line the moment I picked up. Likely just checking if my number is still active.

Got a phone call from a bloke named Daniel who said he was with O2 and was trying to give me a discount on my phone bills. He asked for access to my account details, but I decided to ring O2 myself and they told me it definitely wasn’t them calling.

I discovered that this individual is quite the crafty fraudster. He posed as an insurance claims representative from a supposed Road Accident Helpline, claiming I was involved in a car accident and needed his so-called help. He boldly suggested that I could secure a compensation payout of £5,000. I’ve swiftly blocked him!

Got a really dodgy call about a car crash, first they said I was driving, then suddenly I’m the passenger and my insurance claim’s still not sorted. Total rubbish! What gave it away was they used my family name, which is actually my email handle, instead of my proper first name. Pretty clear sign someone nicked my info from a site or sold my details around.

It definitely came across as one of those annoying calls about insurance claims.
