Got some bloke from India ringing me up nonstop, saying he can't speak German at all. So I just told him I don’t get a word of English either. Funny, considering he’s phoning a German number... The guy was proper rude and acting like a total arsehole! He’s called me loads of times - feels like at least a hundred, if you check my missed calls over the past week. Seriously, what’s that all about?

Some bloke with a thick Asian accent rang up, claiming to be 'Frances from Microsoft' and said there was an issue with my PC. Honestly, I got a bit annoyed and ended up telling him off quite rudely. With all the hacking going on these days, I reckon this sort of call could be pretty risky.

On the 2nd of May 2017 at around half past two in the afternoon, I got a call from a noisy call centre. A man with an Indian accent asked if Mr. Woodward was there, then hung up straight away. Quite strange.

This number rings pretty often during the day. I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t know, and after seeing the other comments, I definitely won’t be picking up! I’m puzzled how they even got hold of our number since we’re on the TPS and it’s ex-directory. Every time I don’t pick up, they hang up right when the answering machine kicks in. It’s really annoying and feels like there’s no way to block them.

These people have been ringing me nonstop, getting more and more pushy each time. I told them nicely that I wasn’t interested and asked to be removed from their list, even said I'd hang up. Still, they kept calling me on my work line, which I have to pick up. They only quit after I hinted that maybe it was a scam, which clearly it is. I’m definitely going to block this number with the call preference service now.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent asking if I was Mrs Trevor (which is actually my husband's first name). When I said no, she insisted they had something registered to my address. I asked who she was and what address she had, but then she said there was a fault with my computer. I told her to buzz off and never call me again.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming I'd got a refund from Microsoft. He asked me to get on my laptop so he could check my info and sort out the payment. I said, "How about you just post me a cheque?" He replied, "Sorry mate, our company doesn’t do things your way." Despite that, they keep ringing non-stop, and BT's block call feature doesn’t seem to work on this number.

The person was pushing really hard to get me to turn my computer on and follow what he said. When I told him I wasn’t into it and ended the call, he kept ringing me again and again.

Got a call from 009999966 saying they’re from this Windows Service Department, claiming I’m due £249 because of some mistake from November 2014. They said they’d transfer me to the Accounts team to sort out the refund, but only for a short time, so I needed to act quick. Gave me some sort of licence and claim numbers, but as soon as I hesitated, they weren’t too pleased. Felt dodgy and I certainly wasn’t giving out my bank info.

Has anyone replied to this so far? The number starts with an international dialling code. Seems like a scam or some sales call to me. Got three calls over the last couple of days already. From what I can see, the other numbers starting with 0099999xx are probably doing the same thing.

I've received a whopping seven calls from this number today! Each time I picked up, there was complete silence on the other end. It's incredibly frustrating!
