So, there’s this chap from India who insists he can't speak a word of German. I thought I'd give him a taste of his own medicine and told him I don't speak English either! Considering he's ringing a number based in Germany, it’s quite amusing, isn’t it? He was rather impolite and frankly quite unpleasant! He’s been bombarding me with calls - it's as if I've been inundated a hundred times over just looking at the call log from the past week... What's the story there?

My phone has been ringing non stop from this number, like 8 calls within just an hour! I ignored it since it smelt like a scam, and now I’ve blocked it for good.

Some bloke with a thick Asian accent rang up, claiming to be 'Frances from Microsoft' and said there was an issue with my PC. Honestly, I got a bit annoyed and ended up telling him off quite rudely. With all the hacking going on these days, I reckon this sort of call could be pretty risky.

On the 2nd of May, 2017, at half past two in the afternoon, I received a rather noisy call from a call centre. The chap on the other end, with an Indian accent, inquired for someone named Mr Woodward before abruptly hanging up. Quite peculiar, really!

This number rings pretty often during the day. I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t know, and after seeing the other comments, I definitely won’t be picking up! I’m puzzled how they even got hold of our number since we’re on the TPS and it’s ex-directory. Every time I don’t pick up, they hang up right when the answering machine kicks in. It’s really annoying and feels like there’s no way to block them.

I've just had a barrage of increasingly pushy calls from this lot, having the cheek to lecture me about my so-called rudeness when I hung up on them. I’d already informed them quite courteously that their offers weren’t relevant to me, and quite frankly, requested they remove my number from their list before ending the call. The calls were on my work phone too, which really complicates matters! They finally ceased their relentless calls when I suggested they might be running some sort of scam, which, let’s be honest, they clearly are. I’m definitely blocking their number through the call preference service.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent asking if I was Mrs Trevor (which is actually my husband's first name). When I said no, she insisted they had something registered to my address. I asked who she was and what address she had, but then she said there was a fault with my computer. I told her to buzz off and never call me again.

The funny thing is, I don’t even have any subscriptions with Microsoft! After asking him to take my number off their list, I ended the call, but wouldn’t you know it - he’s tried ringing me again!

I received a rather unusual phone call from an Indian gentleman claiming I was owed a refund from Microsoft. He insisted that I should sit at my computer so they could confirm my information and proceed with the payment. In response, I suggested a more straightforward approach: “Why not just send me a cheque?” To which he curtly replied, “My company doesn’t operate on your terms.” Despite that interesting exchange, they haven’t stopped calling, and unfortunately, BT still can’t seem to block this particular number.

The person was pushing really hard to get me to turn my computer on and follow what he said. When I told him I wasn’t into it and ended the call, he kept ringing me again and again.

Got a call from 009999966 saying they’re from this Windows Service Department, claiming I’m due £249 because of some mistake from November 2014. They said they’d transfer me to the Accounts team to sort out the refund, but only for a short time, so I needed to act quick. Gave me some sort of licence and claim numbers, but as soon as I hesitated, they weren’t too pleased. Felt dodgy and I certainly wasn’t giving out my bank info.

This morning at around 10 o'clock, I received numerous calls from this number. The person on the line claimed to be regarding a refund related to my computer, and insisted I was entitled to a significant amount. I could hear multiple voices in the background, but the chap I was conversing with had a strong Indian accent. Each time I told him to stop and hung up, he rang back again - this occurred a total of six times! Much appreciated for any assistance.

Has anyone replied to this so far? The number starts with an international dialling code. Seems like a scam or some sales call to me. Got three calls over the last couple of days already. From what I can see, the other numbers starting with 0099999xx are probably doing the same thing.

I've received a whopping seven calls from this number today! Each time I picked up, there was complete silence on the other end. It's incredibly frustrating!
