Got a call from this number and, daft me, I said "yes speaking" when they asked if it was me. Then they just hung up. My partner told me to look it up here and sure enough, it’s a sketchy one. I reckon any number starting with +80018364 followed by two more digits is probably them. I’ve just set my phone to auto-block anything from +80 since I’m not interested. Others might want to think about blocking all calls from +80018364xx if they don’t expect genuine calls from a +80 country code.

Even if the number is really from Virgin Media's call centre, scammers can easily fake it to look like they're calling from there. Caller ID can be faked to show any number, so it doesn't guarantee it's legit. Plus, having your Virgin Media contract info isn't surprising - data leaks from actual staff, especially in overseas call centres, happen all the time. Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

Someone said they were from Virgin Media and knew all my contract info. They asked if I’d let an engineer get into my devices remotely to ‘improve’ my old router. Just today, a foreign woman finally picked up and somehow knew the name on the bill (which is my dad’s, not mine). I didn't pick up as there was no Company ID or any voicemail left. After looking up the number, I found out it's a Virgin Media scam. I've now blocked and reported the number.

So I got a call from a woman with an accent I couldn’t quite place, saying she was from Virgin Media’s Customer Support. She sounded really believable, even mentioning how long I’d been a customer and calling me a “valued client”! She put me on hold to chat with her supervisor, and kept trying to convince me when I said no to her proposal. What freaked me out was how much personal info she already had - it felt like she was looking at my contract right alongside me or something!

Since 6th December 2019, I've been getting calls non-stop every single day. Now it's 31st January 2020 and it's bloody irritating. I've finally decided to block the number.

This number has been ringing me non-stop every day for the past week, so I ended up putting it on block. I even phoned Virgin Media to check if it was from them, but they told me they had no connection with the calls. Plus, I’m opted out of their marketing, so no calls should be coming from their side. My advice? Just ignore it and block the number straight away.

So, got a call from someone claiming to be Virgin Media. I told her I was quite happy with the deal I've got, and added that she might feel the same if she ever met me. She didn't seem to catch the sarcasm at all. Pretty sure she was just trying to scam me.

This number, +8001836416, has been ringing me non stop over the last couple days. I've tried blocking it but somehow it keeps getting through. Pretty dodgy and it's starting to get on my nerves, so I just ignore it now.
