every day, around 3 or 4 calls or even more come from 005890 “accident uk”. its always a bloke with a really bad asian accent, and i can barely hear what he’s saying. he gives his name and then starts rambling about accidents and stuff. i told him its cold calling and asked him to take my number off their list. he just keeps asking why i’m not interested, then after a few more tries he hangs up. its really annoying and quite upsetting.

Just had a call from this number, but I never answer unknown calls. It's the absolute worst move you can make, as it just verifies to the caller that yours is a working number, ready to be sold off to every dodgy character on the planet. This probably accounts for the fact that no genuine person is ever on the line-only lowly scum. I simply let my phone ring until they tire of waiting and hang up. After that, I ring 1471 to take note of the culprit’s number. A quick Google search soon reveals the sort of lowlifes trying to waste my time and give me grief. In my experience, it feels like a staggering 95% of these calls fall into that irritating category. I sometimes dream of a world where all these nuisances are exiled to some far-off planet, completely isolated from the rest of us.

some asian guy kept sayin hello like 10 times then just ended the call. reckon it's the same number that called me before sayin i'd been in an accident. if i'd said yes, dunno what they'd do with that info tho. maybe if i'm feeling cheeky i'll mess with em next time & try to scam the scammers! might be fun to see if i can pull it off lol

Got a call from this number this evening, but when I picked up, there was just silence. It's crazy how this number seems to get past the trace system. BT must be aware of it, but the best advice they give is to buy one of their phones with built-in nuisance call blocking. Not very helpful.
