005904 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 005904 👆 is reported as a persistent scam telephone number used by fraudsters impersonating well-known UK internet providers such as BT and TalkTalk. Callers claim urgent issues with broadband or computer security, pressuring recipients to grant remote access or disclose sensitive bank details. Despite many victims being registered with the Telephone Preference Service and maintaining ex-directory status, these scammers exploit personal data and employ convincing tactics, including repeated calls, call centre scripts, and impersonation. Users strongly advise against engaging or sharing any information and highlight the emotional distress and financial losses suffered. The consensus urges vigilance, not to trust unsolicited demands, and calls for stronger enforcement to prevent ongoing exploitation of vulnerable individuals.

They called me again saying they were from BT, warning me that my broadband would be cut off for a week because it supposedly wasn't secure. Seems like these scams never stop.

Today, some bloke from BT gave me a ring saying they needed to cut off my internet because it wasn’t safe. As soon as he said that, I just hung up the phone.

If you’re not in a rush, try to keep them on the line. It just eats up their time and might stop them from ringing someone else who could easily fall for their tricks and give away their info.

Absolute charlatans! These imbeciles are masquerading as BT and TalkTalk. Don’t even think about sharing your banking information with these clowns! It's a recipe for disaster.

Scammers, honestly. You gotta be super careful and never share any info with them, seriously. It's high time someone stepped up and dealt with these lowlifes, and quick too.

Absolute swindlers, they are! A total con, if ever I’ve seen one. Do yourself a favour and under no circumstances should you share any banking details with these muppets. It's high time someone took action against this nonsense. Right away!

Just want to say I feel the same as the person who posted on 27/08/2015. I got caught out by these scammers when I was going through a tough patch, and they ended up nicking money right out of my bank. Seriously, watch out!

This number called me around a dozen times claiming to be from Talk Talk. I switched my provider to BT about three months back, so every time I told them that and hung up. The last call was different though - they said they were the nominated controller for London (I don’t live anywhere near London) and that my computer had a serious issue that would cause disconnection today. They asked me to let them access my PC to fix it. I’ve worked in IT for 40 years, so I knew it was complete rubbish, but they did sound quite believable. Just watch out for this!

About 30 minutes back, I got a call from a bloke who said he was David from BT. He told me my internet was gonna be cut off since apparently every time I click online, unwanted stuff gets downloaded on my computer. These dodgy people really need to be put to a stop.

Today, I got a ring from this number. The bloke claimed he was calling from BT, saying my internet was about to cut out because of some problem. He asked me to be at my PC right away. I told him flat out he wasn’t with BT and I wasn’t about to let him log into my computer to nick my info or charge me for fixing a fake issue. He then just hung up on me. A few minutes after that, the phone buzzed again. No one spoke, but I could hear the background noise of a call centre. Then the call just dropped. This time the number showed as 00000000000.

Today this number called us, and it was obviously a scam. We've been getting loads of calls like this on our landline recently, all from similar numbers. Every time, the people on the other end have Asian accents and want us to let them into our computer. We’re on the TPS list and have our details unlisted, so it’s really frustrating.

This number called us today and it was another scam attempt. Over the last few weeks, we've had quite a few of these dodgy calls on our landline. Every time, the people on the other end spoke with an Asian accent and tried to convince us to let them into our computer. Yesterday, they pretended to be from BT, and today it was TalkTalk’s turn. We’re on the TPS and have ex-directory status, so it’s scary they somehow have our info like our name, phone number, and postcode. Honestly, this number is definitely a scam, so don’t fall for it!

Got a call earlier saying my computer might have a virus. I told them it wasn’t true and just ended the call. Pretty sure it’s a scam, best to just hang up and not bother.

Today I got a call from 005904. I listened to what they were saying for a bit and then told them I'd have to let my son talk instead. Right after that, they just hung up on me. These calls keep coming every few weeks now, which is pretty annoying.

For around four months, I got calls every week from these people. Eventually, I told them to get lost because they weren’t from TalkTalk, and there was no way I was switching my computer on or handing over my bank info. It was clear to me they were scammers. Things took a nasty turn when the guy thought it was okay to start making sexual remarks. It was really offensive and upsetting. What’s worse, they already had my name, address, phone number, and who my provider was. I've got my number unlisted and I'm registered with the TPS too.

Got a call today from someone pretending to be TalkTalk, saying my internet would be cut off in a couple of hours. When I asked for a reason, they just kept insisting it was about to be disconnected, then just hung up on me. Pretty sure they wanted me to ring TalkTalk straight away so they could be ready to answer and trick me into some scam with my computer (not gonna happen!). Honestly, these scammers need to be stopped soon, loads of vulnerable folks out there are falling for this and losing so much.
