Got a call from a woman with an accent saying she was from Talktalk tech support and that my router got hacked, which was behind my slow internet. I wasn’t convinced at all and just ended the call. I received a call on the 2nd of May at precisely 13:06, featuring an individual with a thick Indian accent who struggled with his English. The conversation was rather muddled, with a mention of Microsoft and something regarding a computer. I was quite blunt and told him to leave me alone. He had rung the week before as well, but the connection was dreadful - I could barely hear a word, so I hung up rather quickly. It strikes me as a classic case of the Microsoft scam that's doing the rounds.

2nd May around 1:06pm, got a call from an Asian bloke with quite bad English, kept rambling about Microsoft and some computer issues. I didn’t hesitate to tell him to jog on. Pretty sure it was one of those typical Microsoft scam calls.

Got rung up 4 times within a couple of hours. My answering machine picked up every time, but no messages were left. Used 1471 to check the number and it was calling from Venezuela. Maybe some long-lost uncle? Ha, typical TPS!

Before I had Caller ID, I picked up a call from someone who claimed to be from Microsoft technical support. Interestingly, the person had an Indian accent but used an English name, and insisted that I was creating issues on their servers! Now that I've got Caller ID in place, I simply let the answering machine take care of these calls. Funny enough, they never bother to leave a message.

I'm utterly exasperated with these incessant calls from individuals pretending to be from India! I've just had a chat with a chap who goes by the name "Paula" - quite the oddity, don't you think? He starts with some nonsense about issues with my supposed computer. I simply replied, "You've clearly dialled the wrong number, mate - I don’t even own a computer!" Seriously, what's the point? I'm off to report this number in a tick. Amused to see him hang up in a jiffy! 🤔🤔🤔

When I told them I wasn’t interested and asked nicely to stop calling, the person on the other end told me to f### off, you mother f#####. Such vile behaviour. Honestly, it makes me sick to think how they’d treat my 92-year-old grandma if they phoned her. Shameful.

Steve rang me claiming to be from Windows Technical, saying my computer was sending error reports. I asked him what computer he meant. He just said "PC". I kept asking which one, and he kept replying "Your PC". This back and forth lasted about 5 minutes until he suddenly hung up on me!!

Some bloke called Jerry kept ringing non stop, demanding to talk to my underage daughter and using really offensive words. He was harassing her loads, sending creepy messages about what he’d do to her, it's gotten to the point where I’m lost on how to protect her from this mess. I answered a call, only to be met with utter silence on the other end. I thought it odd, so I remained quiet as well, and after what felt like an eternity-about ten seconds-I was met with an automated voice bidding me farewell before the call ended. Quite the peculiar experience, really!

Got calls two times in one day from different people. Both started with something like "Good morning, I'm calling from Microsoft Windows," which is obviously not true. I jumped in and told them straight they're scammers and to never call me again. But they just keep phoning. It's really frustrating, especially since I'm the emergency contact for some vulnerable folk and have to answer every call.

Got a call from this number at 11:58 on 22/02/16. I answered with a hello, but no one said a word back. Could hear some faint noises like a busy office or call centre in the background. The person just cut the call without any explanation.

Got a call from an asian bloke calling himself ‘alan’. Seriously?? He claimed my computer was at risk, but I told him I don’t even own one. My go-to move is to keep them hanging by saying ‘I’ll find someone to sort it out’ and then just leave the phone lying there. Sometimes, I switch it up and use a kiddie voice, and it always does the job!

If I get a call from a number I don’t recognise, I usually just let it ring and wait to see if they leave a voicemail. Most of the time, if it’s a spam or annoying call, they never bother leaving anything. This particular number called me at 11.06 on a Saturday, and as soon as the answer machine kicked in, they just hung up straight away!

Got a call from that number too, sounded like a guy with an Asian accent. Couldn’t really catch what he was saying but mentioned something about my computer being hacked. I asked what company he was with, he muttered something like “Teek” and then just ended the call.

When we finally picked up at about 9 past 9, it was another call from ‘Microsoft’. We keep telling them to stop botherin us but still they keep on calling. A bloke with an Asian accent called me from this number. Claimed he was from Microsoft’s main office and said my computer was being hacked. Told me his name was Kevin and gave an employee reference number, said he’d prove he was legit. He even walked me through finding my Windows key and repeated it back to me. Said I had to act quick but left the line open for ages. Eventually he hung up. I did 1471 and got this number. I knew about Microsoft scams already, so I didn’t give him any info. He was honestly more convincing and persistent than most I’ve had before.

Some bloke from Pakistan rang me claiming there was an issue with my emails or something! Couldn't catch a word he said cos his accent was proper thick. Pretty sure it’s another one of those scams - luckily my call blocker just blocks him straight away now.
