Phone number ☎️ 0058754530 👆 is reported as a persistent scam originating primarily from overseas call centres, often with Indian accents, falsely claiming to be from BT Openreach, Eir, Microsoft or similar providers. Callers allege computer or internet issues, urging victims to grant remote access or install software, with the intent to steal personal information and financial data. These calls are frequent, sometimes multiple times daily, and may involve silent calls, aggressive behaviour, or abusive language when challenged. Victims are advised not to engage, never share information, and to block the numbers. The scams target all, but especially the vulnerable and elderly, causing significant distress. Official providers deny involvement, and efforts to halt these calls face difficulties due to their international nature. Reporting to authorities is recommended.

9 yearsI've been getting up to 4 calls each day from "b.t" about my internet. I keep telling them (and Microsoft, who call nearly as much, lol) that I don't have a computer or internet, and I definitely ain't a b.t customer. One time I answered pretending to be the Northumbria police fraud team, and this guy "john" asked if I wanted to do stuff with him. He called back after I hung up and again 30 mins later, but my husband kinda scared him off. It's clear now it's a scam since surely b.t wouldn't be offering those kinda "services" to customers?B. T.MicrosoftB. TNorthumbriaJohnB.T.9 yearsGot a couple of calls from an Indian call centre in the past hour, and loads more over the last month and a half, all doing the same thing. It’s obvious they use an automated system to ring numbers, and if you answer, it switches you to a person - you can hear the pause. They claim to be from BT Openreach about your internet router. But the moment you start asking questions, they realise you’re wise to them and just hang up. WATCH OUT, TOTAL SCAMMERS!BT Open Reach10 yearsJust got two calls back to back from BT Openreach about some "issues with your router" - first time I've had anything like this after loads of "Microsoft" scams. I 'nicely' told the first bloke ('John') he was clearly trying to scam me, and asked the second one ('David') for a contact number so I could ring BT and verify if this call centre in India was legit. Believe it or not, he actually gave me a number - 0044 9173 216977. Needless to say, I’m not actually bothering to call BT and will just treat any more calls from these muppets with the disdain they deserve!MicrosoftJohnDavidBT10 yearsGot a call from a "John Williams" with an Indian accent, said he was from BT Openreach near Paddington Station and told me my computer was full of viruses. This happened three times in one week. Has anyone else had calls like this or know who’s behind them?John WilliamsBT OpenreachPaddington Station10 yearsGot calls from them twice today, both times from a withheld number. Same old scam about being from Openreach and finding some issue, blah blah. Both sounded Asian, one said his name was 'Damian' and the other 'John Williams' which honestly made me chuckle! Proper scammers, best just to ignore and hang up. Yelling at them doesn't help, they just keep calling back regardless.DamianJohn Williams10 yearsGot a call today from 007704335632 claiming to be from BT Openreach. I let him speak for a bit but then ended the call. He kept ringing back a few times. Eventually, I picked up again and told him I wasn’t interested. He sounded pretty annoyed, said I’d wasted his time.10 yearsThese calls are hilarious. Some bloke called 'Chris' with an Indian accent rang me about some issue with my router. I told him I was an old lady and needed help fixing it (he was probably counting his money then!). I pretended to turn on my PC and said, "Hang on, there's a message saying 'go away you plank'." He actually had the nerve to phone me again 5 minutes later, and that’s when I really let him have it! Such muppets.Chris10 yearsI got a call early morning from an Indian lady saying she’s from BT. I asked her for her own number but she didn’t want to tell me. I had no pen to write it down so I just hung up. She seemed a bit pushy, not nice at all!India10 yearsThey rang me three times today. As soon as I told them I don’t have broadband or a computer, they just cut me off. Still, took up a good 10 minutes of my time.10 yearsFor the last few weeks, this number has been blowing up my phone, like 8 to 10 calls every single day. I picked up yesterday and again today. The first call was a lady with an Indian accent claiming she was from Eir and said there were issues with my internet security settings. Then the next call was from a man with a strong accent, and when I told him I knew it was a scam, he got really rude and angry. I told him to quit calling me. Despite that, they still rang me four more times today!Eir10 yearsGot calls out of the blue again, just like others have said on here. Eir say it’s not them causing it. No way to complain properly, so just sharing on social media hoping someone puts a stop to it. It’s really frustrating.Eir10 yearsOver the last year, this number has rung me up loads of times. Fed up with all the calls, I finally picked up today, guessing it was probably just another scam. A woman, who spoke with an Indian accent, asked me to switch on my computer. The call quality was really poor, so it was obvious it was a VOIP call. She said I had connection problems recently and claimed she was from Eir. I told her I wasn’t going to turn on my PC because I knew exactly what she was after - trying to hack it. I also warned her I’d trace her IP and involve the police. She quickly got nasty after that. I asked her which internet provider I had, since it definitely wasn’t Eir, and figured if she was legit she’d know. Then she went quiet before shouting abuse down the line. I told her to stop calling or I’d definitely report her to the cops. It’s crazy how they get hold of our numbers and keep pestering us like this. Poor folks who fall for this must be having a terrible time.Eir10 yearsJust like others have said, it’s super frustrating - they’ve been ringing me non stop from last year up to now. I told them to stop calling loads of times but they just keep going. Honestly, I’m clueless about what else to try…10 yearsThis number keeps buzzing me and I’m glad I saw this page first, otherwise I probably would have picked up!10 yearsI've had about five calls today but everytime I answer, there's just silence on the other side! So weird.10 yearsI dunno who they think they are but they really need to stop calling, it's so irritating. Definitely sounds like a bunch of scammers to me.10 yearsThey said they were from eir, but total scam. Don't trust it!10 yearsThis number has bugged me like 4 times just today, and I swear it was ringing a bunch last week as well. Every single time though, no one answers. Seriously, does anyone know how to block this number for good? Also, why are they even getting hold of our digits in the first place? Total mystery!10 yearsGot a call saying there were mistakes with my EIR connection. I just ended the call straight away.EIR10 yearsThis number has been calling me around 4 to 5 times a day, along with loads of 'withheld' and 'unavailable' numbers popping up - probably about 10 calls daily. It's really starting to annoy me. I contacted the guards and apparently, they've already had several reports regarding this number. Please, don’t pick up if it rings, and if you do, don’t share any details whatsoever. It’s definitely a scam.10 yearsI get about 3 or 4 calls daily from this number. Sometimes the call just drops, but other times they keep trying to get me to link my computer to theirs. One time, the person on the line even insulted me and called me stupid.10 yearsIt kicked off a few days back with some lady with a really strong accent telling us there’s an issue with our wifi - we just ended the call straight away. Anyway, today alone they’ve rung about 10 times. The first call was a robot saying goodbye, then loads of calls where no one says anything. During the last one, my husband was so fed up he said down the phone, “You’re seriously getting on my nerves, I’m aware this is a scam so stop ringing this number.” Surprisingly, the person on the other end actually apologised!10 yearsI've been getting loads of calls from this number. Seems like it's some kind of automated system ringing first, then when you pick up, a real person starts talking.10 yearsbeen getting about four calls every day for the past four days, gonna have to tell the garda about it.10 yearsBeen getting quite a few calls lately from people with Indian accents, both male and female. They mention companies like BT, Microsoft, and even Eircom. The woman usually says her name is Lisa. I've told them off a few times but they just keep ringing. The latest call came from the number 0058754530 this morning. Best to just ignore it and warn others not to pick up.EircomBTMicrosoftLisa10 yearsGot a few calls this week from someone claiming to be BT Openreach saying there’s a problem with my computer. Number was 00587544530.BT Openreach11 yearsThey just keep ringing and no one ever answers on the other end. It’s so irritating.11 yearsHad a bunch of calls today, plus quite a few over the weekend. Finally, I just let out a loud whistle into the phone, hoping the bloke from Pakistan who's been bugging us understands the hint.Pakistan11 yearsRecently my elderly mum has been getting loads of calls from this number. Every time she answers, there’s just a busy signal. She tried calling it back herself and got the same busy tone. Strange!11 yearsToday I got about 4 calls from someone claiming to be 'Eir' or 'Eircom', saying they wanted to put software on my PC. They're ringing me like 3 or 4 times daily now! Seriously, this needs to end.EirEircom11 yearsThis number keeps ringing my folks non-stop, mostly really early in the morning or late at night, disturbing their sleep. It’s definitely a scam. When they picked up once, the caller told them to switch on their computer straight away. Of course, they didn’t. They’ve already got the Garda involved - I’d say you should report it too.Garda11 yearsThis number rang me three times today, starting as early as 8 o'clock. Believe it or not, that makes seven calls from them just over the weekend!11 yearsAnyone got any idea how to block these calls? They've been ringing for more than a fortnight now and nothing we do seems to make them quit.11 yearsThat number 0058754530 rang me twice today, but I just didn't pick up. It looked a bit off to me since it wasn’t in any usual format I know.11 yearsToday, I got two calls from 0058754530, but I chose not to pick up. The number looked kind of weird and not like any I'm used to, so it just seemed fishy to me.11 yearsFor about a week now, I've been getting these calls non-stop, and honestly, I have no clue how to make them stop.11 yearsI've had three calls now from this number and I reckon it's a scam, mate.11 yearsGot calls with no one speaking on the line, like four times over the past couple of days. Really irritating.11 yearsFor the last seven days, and even getting three calls from the same number in one day, I keep getting calls from folks claiming to work for Eircom. They keep telling me the same thing everyone else here mentions. It's honestly shocking that their system doesn't seem to blacklist or get rid of numbers they’ve already tried, especially when they must know we’re onto their scam by now!Eircom11 yearsJust got a call that was completely silent. Strange!11 yearsThis scammer's rung me up thrice already, and I kinda like keeping him on the line for as long as I can. After a bit, he starts demanding my address so he can supposedly get the cops involved. Bless those cheeky con artists. But on a serious note, I do worry about people who aren’t too streetwise, especially when they get all threatening about the police.11 yearsGot a call from this number at 8:59 am, answered with a quick "Hello?" After a short pause, some robot voice just said, "Bye." Strange!11 yearsThere was a brief pause, then an Asian voice saying hello ma’am. That high-pitched noise on the line is probably pretty annoying, hope it drives them nuts.11 yearsThere was a brief pause, then an Asian voice said hello ma'am, that high-pitched sound on the phone must be giving them a right headache, I reckon. Hopefully, it does.11 yearsGot a call today from someone claiming to be from "BT" saying they've been checking my line for a couple of weeks now (which is true as we'd had issues recently) so it sounded a bit legit at first. Then they started saying my emails have viruses and spyware and they need to fix it straight away, asked if I was at my computer. I said no, I'm about to go out, but they insisted it had to be done immediately. I told them if they were really BT, I’d call BT to double-check. They didn’t like that and just hung up. Rang BT afterwards and they confirmed it was a scam.BT11 yearsI cant say who was calling since I never answer those "auto diallers". I just wait to hear a voice then put the phone down and let them keep saying hello, hello, hello till it goes quiet. Then I hang up. Not very clever I admit, but it stops them bothering other people, especially older folks!!! BT have the ability through their branches to block loads of these calls but obviously don’t bother. If more of us switch providers maybe their own sales teams will finally show the board why their profits are falling.BT11 yearsReally frustrating, seemed legit at first but asked for bank info - I just ended the call! The voice was Asian and kept going on - BT has now blocked the number on my phone.11 yearsGot a call meant for my neighbour saying ’BT Openreach’ about their computer being about to crash or some rubbish like that. Told them to pop down to their local tech bloke for a proper scan for malware and viruses ’cos they were doing what the caller said and even let them access their computer remotely. I work for Openreach, and we never say ’BT Openreach’ like that, so it was clear it was a con.BTOpenreachBT Openreach11 yearsGot a call super early from someone claiming to be from BT saying my internet was hacked. The bloke had an asian accent and kept saying it was urgent and all that stuff. Total rubbish, just ended the call! Clearly a scam!BT11 yearsGot a call about 4 days back, someone claiming to be from BT, and I saw my computer was being tampered with by someone. The voice sounded Indian, and when I asked for a number to ring them back, he kept saying he was from BT and would call me when it suited me. Only when I pushed him did he hang up. Before that, similar call said they were from Microsoft, also sounded Indian. When I did get a number to call back, it turned out to be in India. Funny thing is, these calls come soon after I get in touch with Virgin Media, who provide my phone line.BTMicrosoftIndiaVirgin Media11 yearsGot called by this number 4 times today, didn’t answer cause felt fishy. Pretty sure it’s a scam, best not to pick up.11 yearsThey tried the exact same trick on me. Got a call a few days back from someone claiming to be from BT's tech team, saying hackers were getting into my internet whenever I used it. Heard the same spiel today too, but now they said the issue was spotted three days ago. Both times, the moment I questioned them, they just ended the call.BT11 yearsGot a call from someone called Julie, said she was from BT and that someone was trying to break into my computer. Told me to switch it on straight away and follow her orders. Then she said she'd hand me over to a technician - yeah, right! I just hung up. How come these scammers are allowed to keep doing this???Julie11 yearsThey keep ringin me like 4 or 5 times every day even tho I don’t answer. The first one comes up at 7.30am which I reckon must break some telemarketer rules or whatever!! It’s mad that these calls are still happening after loads of complaints online - really scary for folks who might get tricked by them!!!11 yearsGot a call today from this bloke with an Indian accent yelling at me to switch my computer on. I just told him it’s a scam and ended the call.11 yearsGot a call this morning around 10 from a woman with an Indian or Pakistani accent, talking about my internet. I just told her, "Get lost, you bloody scammer," and hung up straight away.11 yearsYeah, I reckon it actually does!!11 yearsYesterday, I got two calls mid-morning and later in the afternoon. First, it was a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT Openreach, then a man saying the same. I told them I don’t own a computer and just hung up. This morning at 8am, they rang me again but I ignored it. When I checked the number with a 1471 redial, it showed up as 0058754530 once more. I’m sure I'll be getting more calls from them today - it's proper annoying and frustrating.BT Openreach11 yearsSo this number rang me yesterday, and some bloke with a thick Asian accent called himself "Steve". When I said, "You’re not really Steve, are you?", he just hung up straight away. Since then, I've had a couple more calls - one where the person was yelling insults at me, and another early morning one at around 8am that was completely silent. Watch out for this one!Steve11 yearsGot two calls early this morning, both from people speaking with Indian accents. The voice was a woman with an American accent.11 yearsGot a call from 0058754530 earlier, but as soon as call screening activated, they just hung up. Loads of people say it’s an international number or area code, but my phone blocks all international calls automatically, so no idea how this got through unless they used some sort of internet calling service. If not, then it must be a UK-based call. Looks like yet another one of those Indian Amy scams if you ask me, judging by what others have shared.UK11 yearsthey said they was from bt openreach and there was a problem with my line but didnt have a clue who i was or which internet provider i use, their english was really bad and the phone number wasnt even from the UK. Really odd experience.11 yearsthe country code shows venezuela. some woman said she was calling from bt openreach, claiming my computer was hacked and i needed to switch it on right away and listen to her. if i'd done that, i'd probably be hacked for sure. this scam's been on record here since march 2015, that's nine months now, so why hasn’t bt done anything to block it? have they even told the authorities in venezuela to track down these crooks? does bt even bother?BT OpenreachBT11 yearsgot a call this morning from some bloke saying he was with bt open reach. my number's ex directory and i don’t even have bt, so how the hell did he get it? proper clueless guy, i could hardly make out what he was saying but he kept insisting my computer was having problems with ‘their’ server. i knew that was rubbish! told him straight, he just hung up when he saw i wasn’t buying it. another dodgy scammer from abroad for sure.BT OpenreachBT11 yearsGot a call from this number earlier saying my laptop was about to crash and they, supposedly BT Openreach, could sort it out for me. I told them my computer's fine and that I actually know my way around tech. Then the so-called supervisor asked what IT degree I had, and ended up swearing at me! Don’t be fooled by this scam, they want to control your PC and then they can get all your info.BT11 yearsGot a call earlier and honestly couldn’t make heads or tails of what they were saying.
