Beware of the scammers posing as "Microsoft support." These charlatans are not merely up to mischief; engaging with them could lead to you losing your hard-earned money or even risking damage to your computer-possibly both. Stay vigilant!

Got a ring from these lot. Having spent years in telecoms, I can spot the jargon a mile off. They're clearly out to rip folks off. Best to just ignore their calls. But if you fancy it, pick up and mess around with them a bit. Pretty funny stuff, really. Haha!

Answered the phone and not a word, just dead silence. Thought it was one of those annoying calls you get all the time. So, I blocked the number through TalkTalk to keep those time-wasting calls at bay.

So, this one call was from someone claiming to be Microsoft ;) Saying my pc had a virus or something. Honestly, I don’t mind these calls at all. Instead, I use them to blow off steam cos I have two twin pairs and I try to keep my language clean when they’re around. When these calls come in while the kids are at school, I let loose with some colourful words at the caller and it kinda helps me chill out!

Got a call from a guy called Harry, who said he was with BT Openreach, claiming there was a problem with our phone line. He asked us to get on the computer, probably trying to get our IP or something. I knew straight away it was dodgy, told him as much and ended the call quickly.

Every single day, I get these annoying calls, and today it was some bloke called Steve having a go. Their trick is saying my computer’s got a virus and they can sort it out - probably by getting remote access. Honestly, don’t fall for it, ’cause those muppets will actually put a virus on your computer and then demand loads of cash to fix the mess! Just tell them you only use an iPad, not a PC, and they quickly piss off! DL

Got a call from BT Openreach again, saying my computer had been hacked. The guy, Harry, who sounded like he was from some remote place up north, insisted that all internet traffic runs through BT because they’re basically the “big boss of internet in the UK.” When I mentioned other providers like cable companies that aren’t BT, he rudely told me I must be insane and should check myself into a mental hospital. Proper bizarre convo!

Received a rather dodgy call earlier today. The chap on the other end claimed to be from BT Openreach, alleging that their survey had unearthed an issue with my Internet connection. He was adamant that I should sit in front of my computer so they could sort it all out for me. When I pressed him about how he got hold of my number, he was utterly evasive. The moment he realised I wasn't playing along, he had the audacity to call me a 'suspicious lady' and 'very foolish.' Then, as if it were some sort of threat, he warned me he might disconnect my Internet! I pointed out his utter rudeness, but he simply insisted that my 'foolishness' was forcing him to be unpleasant! Again, he sidestepped my question about the source of my number and then abruptly terminated the call. Quite the unbelievable encounter, I must say!

Got a call from a lady named Angel who had a really thick Asian accent, saying she was from BT Openreach. She said my internet would be getting switched off for a few days because apparently someone tried to hack into it. When I asked why they were cutting off a service I don’t even have, she got all awkward and started asking if I use email or Facebook. I just said why would I bother, and then she hung up on me. Bit cheeky, especially as I was just beginning to enjoy winding her up. Bet she won’t ring again!

Some bloke called Robert claiming to be from BT saying there was something wrong with my internet. I kept him chatting for about 6 minutes before he twigged I was just messing about :-). When he cottoned on, he turned really rude, must’ve felt like he’d been wasting his time.

This 0058754554 number kept ringing me back. I remembered it, cause last time some really rude guy with an Indian accent was on the line. So this time I picked up and said, "Good afternoon, BT fraud prevention speaking." Weirdly enough, they just disconnected straight away!

Got a call from a bloke who said he was from BT, quite rude too. When I told him I wasn’t with BT, he went on about how they’re the main provider and that my internet would be disconnected in a couple of days. I told him I’m actually with cable, so no chance of that happening. Then he just called me an idiot. Totally uncalled for.

Got a call from some bloke, might have been Indian, who said his name was Eric. He claimed my PC had a virus and wanted my password to fix it. I gave him a fake one, like P 155 0 FF or something, and then he just dropped the call. Can't quite figure out why he took off so sudden...

I got a call from a woman named Angel, sounded Indian, saying she was going to take control of my computer. When I asked for her phone number, she actually gave me a legit BT number. But when I told her I’d ring back later, she threatened to shut down my computer in about 8 hours. Quite a weird experience!

Received a rather bothersome call today. They seemed to know my name and started yammering on about Windows and some computer issues, though the accent was quite foreign. I mentioned that I’m registered with TPS and that I’d be lodging a complaint against them for the unsolicited call, and just like that, they hung up on me.

I've received a couple of calls recently claiming that my computer is interfering with their operations. They mentioned something about my browser creating issues. When I probed further and inquired which browser they were referencing, the chap hesitated and finally admitted it was Chrome. I responded by saying that I don’t even use Chrome! Clearly a ruse to gain access to my device. Avoid this nonsense like the plague. He claimed to be from Openreach, but I have my doubts.

Got a call today from some bloke claiming to be "Robert" from BT, though I seriously doubt that was his real name. He said there had been issues with our IP address for a few days. When I asked which IP he was talking about, he suddenly knew he was caught out as a fraud. Then, out of nowhere, he started swearing at me before abruptly ending the call. Total scammer!

SCAMMER ALERT - Received a dubious call today (11th August) from someone claiming to be "Robert" (as if!). The chap said he was representing BT and that they had detected issues with our IP Address for the past three days. However, when I pressed him for specifics on the IP Address, it was like a lightswitch flicked. His facade crumbled, and he erupted into a tirade of obscenities before abruptly cutting the line. Classic scammer tactics!

I’ve been getting calls from this same number multiple times lately, and often when I pick up, they hang up right away. When they do decide to speak, it's in English, and I let them know I’m Portuguese, which leaves me clueless about what they’re saying. They tend to hang up just like that once I mention it. It's quite vexing to receive these calls, and I can’t help but feel suspicious, as I’m left pondering what on earth their intentions are by trying to reach me.

I received a couple of calls earlier today and made it a point to inform the callers that my phone was under surveillance. I suggested they keep that in mind before engaging in conversation with me. True to form, the calls were cut off rather quickly. It tends to do the trick every time!

I received a call today from a certain 'Angel' using this number, claiming that my computer was in dire need of repair. I kept her hanging for a moment while I pretended to hunt around for my glasses, and when I finally got through to 'John', she was still on the line! I cheekily told him that my email was [email protected]. Upon hearing this, John practically threatened to pop round for a “chatty chatty!” Honestly, I do enjoy having a bit of fun with these scammer types!

Utter drivel from this wannabe with a faux British accent, clearly of Indian descent. His attempts at luck are a complete farce, destined for failure. They’ll insist you input a website link, and next thing you know, they'll have unrestricted access to your computer.

On the 23rd of February 2016, I received two unsettling calls from this number between 14:00 and 14:30. During the first call, the caller claimed there was an issue with my computer. I firmly told them, "There’s absolutely nothing wrong with my computer," and promptly hung up. It’s evidently a scam I've encountered before on several instances. Just a mere two minutes later, the same number rang again, and this time, the caller accused me of using inappropriate language towards her mother and threatened legal action against me. Luckily, I had two mates over at the time who can confirm I didn’t utter a word out of line.
