Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Fast Courier Service. They said they needed to talk to certain staff members to sort out a delivery time for a parcel. When I asked what the parcel was or who sent it, they refused to say. Checked with the staff and none of them had any idea about any parcel. Felt like a total spam call.

So this lady rang me up claiming she was from Singapore. She even knew my name, my job title, and what I do at work. She was trying to get me interested in a new position at her firm. When I asked for some more information, she told me she'd email me, but I never got anything. This was back on 12th Feb 2019.

On the call, the person said they had a job offer for me and that’s why they were calling, since I hadn’t answered on LinkedIn. I turned them down and said it was really disrespectful to approach recruitment like that. Later, I looked up the number here and it definitely seems like a scam.

Today, I got a phone call at my work desk from this number. The bloke actually knew both my first and last name, which freaked me out a bit. I couldn’t really catch what he was saying because of all the background noise. At some point, he said something about me giving him my mobile number so he could ring me again. I ended up giving it to him, and he did ring, but just once and then hung up. Later, I tried to call back the number, but it wouldn’t go through. I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of scam where they try to make money if you call them. Really dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent who seemed to know my name, where I work, and what I do. She asked if I was interested in a new job. When I asked her to say who she was from, she just ended the call. I looked up the number, and loads of people say it's linked to scams or dodgy practices. Someone rang me claiming to be a mate from Brazil saying their laptop was locked and needed assistance from my colleague. Problem is, we’ve never dealt with anyone in Brazil before, so it was definitely the wrong person they were after. Bit sketchy if you ask me.
