Some bloke rang me from this number asking for someone I work with, he even knew their name. When I asked what he wanted and what company he represented, he got really nasty and hostile. Since then, he’s phoned me nearly 10 times. I’m now trying to get his number blocked.

I can't quite recall the name of the person who called, but he claimed he'd misplaced a list of contacts. He was after a list with the names of an entire department, and already had some names on it. I told him I wasn’t comfortable giving out that list and he’d need to look for another option. I also rang our security team to get it checked out.

Looks like a classic confidence trick. The bloke said he was "Brian Linboss" from some place called Mulix International. He asked for someone who worked there and threw in a few company details to sound legit. Said he was ringing from London, but the number seemed to come from Brazil or Colombia or something? Seems he’d been phoning other staff too, trying to get info. Seems dodgy to me.
