My answering machine didn’t manage to capture the entire thing, but it's clear to me that it’s likely a scam. I've made it a point not to engage with any calls from numbers I don’t recognise.

Had a call from this number earlier today (###). It rang once and then promptly disconnected before I could answer. Seems a bit dodgy, if you ask me. We fell victim to a scam last year, and ever since, we keep receiving calls from all sorts of strange and unfamiliar numbers trying to pull the same trick. Just a heads up to stay vigilant, everyone!

Got a call from 0031248912958, some automated lady voice claiming to be from a security company. Didn’t sound legit at all so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Got a call from 003120****** claiming there were suspicious charges on my card. They didn’t give any name or proof, so I figured it was a con. The automated voice told me to press 1, 2, or 3 to speak to different departments - I just hung up straight away.

Got a ring from 00312081610720, claimed it was an international call. The bloke was on about renewing insurance for kitchen appliances. Told him I don’t own any and not interested. He then asked for my address to send some forms over - I told him no way he’s getting that. Sounded like a posh English guy. Watch out, this smells like a scam trying to nab your personal details.

00312840074488 Got a call claiming to be from the Amazon verification team, saying there was a purchase made on my account with the time and amount to be paid. She said the order was on hold and they needed to confirm it with me. She kept repeating the same thing over and over, sounded like she was reading from a script. Felt very dodgy to me, like a scam. I think she was about to ask for my details. She promised to give me a number to call back and check for myself. I told her I’d sort it out on my own, then she hung up. Of course, nothing showed up on my accounts.

I received a call from a chap with an Indian accent, using the number 00312###, claiming to be regarding my computer. He mentioned something about Microsoft Windows, but when I inquired about the specific computer, he just kept reiterating Microsoft Windows. I quickly realised it was a scam and confronted him about it. He insisted it wasn’t, but I told him I’d be reporting the incident. He promptly hung up on me.

I keep getting calls from 003120 8080102 or 01988 303031, and they always ask if I’m Mr maHHHHHH (Christian name). No clue who they are, but the voice sounds like it’s got an afro-caribbean accent or something. They ring at the oddest hours and are proper annoying. I always give 'em a mouthful of abuse back, cos that’s exactly what they deserve, those pests.

This number keeps calling me at weird times, like early mornings and evenings. Normally I just hang up as soon as I pick up, but last time a guy with an Indian or some Asian sounding accent asked for my name. I didn’t say anything back and he just hung up on me. Anyone know who this is?
