Told him the only nuisance calls I'd had were from him, and he ended up swearing at me before hanging up. I doubt he's gonna get very far with that sort of con artist nonsense.

Even after I said I knew it was a scam, they wouldn’t let it go. I’m not sure what they hoped to get from me. They just carried on pestering until I finally hung up.

As someone who works in IT Security, I am familiar with many of these scams, which predominantly originate from China, Eastern Europe, and Asia. The best course of action is to simply hang up and block the number, although they may change their number format over time. Additionally, make sure to inform your phone network provider about these fraudulent activities.
