They rang me up earlier claiming to be from hmrc, just like a bunch of others have said. I told the bloke to hurry up and send someone round to arrest me if that was the case, or words to that effect.

They told me if I didn’t pick up, I’d end up getting arrested.

I got a call supposedly from HMRC, but I just made up a random name and address. They still went on about me owing £2305 and threatened a £50,000 fine plus 5 years jail if I didn't pay. Total scam, but I can see how this would really freak out folks who don’t know better.

Got a call from Greece, some robot voice claimed H.M.R.C. was probing me for fraud. Didn't hang about, just ended the call.
