got a call a bit earlier that kept ringing just a couple of times before cutting out.

On the evening of January 4th, 2019 around 9pm, I noticed I missed a call from Ivory Coast. Luckily, this site helped me find out more about these odd calls. Actually, over the last three days, I've gotten about five calls and weird texts from six different numbers. I'll be looking them up here too.

I've been getting calls from different numbers from Ivory Coast, changing slightly each time. They usually call a couple of times daily over a few days, but the phone just rings once and stops, so no chance to pick up. Definitely some kind of scam, best not to bother.
