They've called me a couple of times in like 5 minutes, but as soon as I pick up, the line just cuts out.

When I picked up, the bloke already had my full name and started firing questions at me. He insisted he wasn’t trying to sell me anything and that if I just answered a couple of quick questions, he’d take my number off his list. One was about whether I read newspapers, then he asked my age range. I didn’t bother answering and told him to just remove my number without needing me to say anything. He carried on chatting, so I just ended the call. Still no clue what the whole thing was about or why the number popped up as being from Egypt.

I didn't pick up, it came through with an Egyptian number. At first, it seemed like it was a London call, so be careful - some of these scammers start charging you the moment you answer. If it was something urgent, they’d have left a voicemail. No message, so it's been blocked straight away!
