Got a call on the 19th of September from an Asian bloke claiming to be from TPS, said he needed to update my details. I told him to just send me a letter or I’d reach out to TPS myself. He wasn’t pleased and started threatening me, saying I'd be taken off their list but then get bombarded with like 15,000 nuisance calls if I didn’t hand over my info. I politely said thanks but didn’t budge. He then lost his temper, asking if I was daft or something. I chuckled, and he just hung up on me.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Indian, saying I'm supposed to be on the TPS and that I pay via direct debit. Just to mess about, I played along. Then he mentioned one of my credit cards supposedly expires in 2017 and asked me for the exact month. I acted like I was searching for the card while I got ready for work, then came back and told him to just tell me when it expired since he seemed to know already. He said he needed me to confirm my ID by telling him. That’s when I lost interest and ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who tried to confirm my name. I told him straight up to jog on as I don't deal with tossers like him. Instead of hanging up, he started banging on about how the call was being recorded and he'd report me to the coppers for racism. Seriously, I don’t get how calling someone a d###d could be racist. So I shot back, telling him to shove off and make sure he mentions my "colourful language" in his complaint. Yeah, right, as if I’m losing any sleep over that.

On 16th Sept 2016, I got a call from 002030639123. They claimed they could stop calls coming from India. Someone else said the caller asked if they paid by direct debit and then they gave some card expiry date. I ended up cutting the call short and blocked the number straight away. Bit worrying, honestly.

Just like others have reported, it seems there’s yet another Indian woman dishing out the same dodgy spiel about halting nuisance calls and requesting sensitive banking information - and this time, it was directed at my 92-year-old mother-in-law! Thankfully, my wife answered the call and gave the caller what-for, sending her packing with a right telling-off. It’s absolutely imperative that these scams are put to an end. Surely, OFCOM or a similar regulatory body can track down these lowlifes and put a stop to their vile activities once and for all.

I received a rather peculiar phone call this evening and jotted down the number 00....., which hints it’s an international one. I decided to humour them and nodded along to all their claims regarding my phone number and address. However, when they broached the subject of my credit card details, I couldn’t resist throwing a spanner in the works by saying, “Ah, finally something you’re not clued up on!” To which the chap replied, “We’re not over there, we’re calling from London.” But the moment I remarked on the number starting with 00, the call abruptly cut off! Quite the coincidence, wouldn’t you say?

I received a call from 002030639123 claiming they could put an end to nuisance calls. The person on the line had a thick Indian accent and was rather impolite, abruptly disconnecting the call. Why is it that these types of individuals seem to evade consequences for their actions? It's beyond frustrating!

I received a phone call from someone with an Indian accent who boldly claimed he could put an end to all my nuisance calls starting tomorrow, even though we’re already registered with the Telephone Preference Service. He mentioned my address but got the postcode wrong (didn’t bother to correct him). Then he inquired whether I pay my phone bill via direct debit. I pointed out that this had nothing to do with preventing nuisance calls, but he asked the same thing again. I reiterated my answer, and just like that, he hung up! Quite the experience!

I received a call from a gentleman with an Indian accent who requested to speak to Mr. ***. I informed him that Mr. *** had passed away five years ago. To my surprise, he began shouting, insisting that Mr. *** needed to talk, claiming they were trying to help him. I then inquired about the company he represented, but he abruptly disconnected the call. Definitely an odd scam approach-seemed like he figured out I wasn't one of those susceptible elderly folks and decided to bail.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent who claimed to offer protection against unwanted calls, much like others have described on this site. I promptly ended the call, then used 1471 to trace it, and the number came back as 002030639123. So, it’s unquestionably the same number that people have been discussing here.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from the TPS about nuisance calls we were still getting. When I said yes, he told me they had to re-register us or something. He then asked for my name, address and if we pay bills by direct debit. I kept asking why he needed all this info but he just kept saying it was a TPS ID check. We got stuck in a loop and I ended up hanging up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the TPS. They wanted me to verify my address first. Then, they moved on to check if I usually pay my phone bill through monthly Direct Debit. After that, they asked if my credit card expired in mmm yy. I was like, hang on, why are we talking about this stuff over the phone? So I just ended the call.

Keep getting calls from this number, they always ask for someone using my old surname. It felt dodgy right away. No matter how many times I’ve explained that no one with that name lives here, they just won’t stop phoning!

This number called me but as soon as I answered and said hello, they just ended the call. Quite annoying and intrusive if you ask me.

I've been inundated with calls from this number, claiming to assist in halting unsolicited calls while trying to extract my card information. I'm fully clued in and never divulge my banking details over the phone to anyone, no matter the circumstance. Just a heads-up, folks-this is a scam and a right bother to deal with!

I received a rather dubious call from a so-called TPS service, purporting to have the capability to eliminate pesky telemarketers (the irony is rich!). When they didn’t get their way, I swiftly told them where to go-after all, who has time for such nonsense?

I must say, I find a certain amusement in these fraudulent calls. I tend to keep them chatting for as long as possible, thinking that if they believe they can squander my time, I am more than capable of returning the favour. Moreover, while they’re occupied with me, they’re not bothering anyone else, which I consider a rather generous contribution to society. I always take care not to divulge any of my personal information, of course.

These individuals masquerade as representatives from the TPS, only to attempt to extract credit card information. Isn't it possible for the police to step in and take action?

I've been inundated with calls from these individuals-six times within just 24 hours! They have the audacity to assert that they represent a service aimed at blocking nuisance calls. When I had the cheek to mention that they were, in fact, the very nuisance they were referring to, they showed no remorse whatsoever. Despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, they persist relentlessly. They go by the name of Telephone Preference Management and operate through call centres in Asia. However, if you dig a bit deeper into the companies register, you'll find that TPM actually went bust back in July 2016. I'm really at my wit's end with these relentless disturbances, which have only just begun over the last day!
