Got a call on the 19th of September from an Asian bloke claiming to be from TPS, said he needed to update my details. I told him to just send me a letter or I’d reach out to TPS myself. He wasn’t pleased and started threatening me, saying I'd be taken off their list but then get bombarded with like 15,000 nuisance calls if I didn’t hand over my info. I politely said thanks but didn’t budge. He then lost his temper, asking if I was daft or something. I chuckled, and he just hung up on me.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Indian, saying I'm supposed to be on the TPS and that I pay via direct debit. Just to mess about, I played along. Then he mentioned one of my credit cards supposedly expires in 2017 and asked me for the exact month. I acted like I was searching for the card while I got ready for work, then came back and told him to just tell me when it expired since he seemed to know already. He said he needed me to confirm my ID by telling him. That’s when I lost interest and ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who tried to confirm my name. I told him straight up to jog on as I don't deal with tossers like him. Instead of hanging up, he started banging on about how the call was being recorded and he'd report me to the coppers for racism. Seriously, I don’t get how calling someone a d###d could be racist. So I shot back, telling him to shove off and make sure he mentions my "colourful language" in his complaint. Yeah, right, as if I’m losing any sleep over that.

On 16th Sept 2016, I got a call from 002030639123. They claimed they could stop calls coming from India. Someone else said the caller asked if they paid by direct debit and then they gave some card expiry date. I ended up cutting the call short and blocked the number straight away. Bit worrying, honestly.

Just like others have said, a woman from India rang up my 92-year-old mother-in-law pretending to help with unwanted calls, asking for bank info and all that. Luckily, my wife answered and gave her a proper telling off. This kind of nonsense has to end - you'd think OFCOM or some other body could track these fraudsters down and put an end to their disgusting scams.

I got a ring this evening from a number starting 00... so I figured it was from abroad. Let them carry on with their spiel, nodding along as they rattled off my phone number and address. When they asked for my credit card details, I said, "Hang on, isn't that info supposed to be private?" The bloke replied, "We're based in London, not overseas." Then, as soon as I questioned why their number started with 00, which is international, the call abruptly cut off!

I got a call from 002030639123 and they claimed they’d put an end to nuisance calls. The person on the line had a sharp Indian accent and was really rude before just cutting me off. Honestly, how do these lot manage to keep doing this without getting stopped!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he could block all spam calls starting the next day (even tho we’re already on the TPS). He mentioned my address but got the postcode wrong - I didn’t bother correcting him. Then he asked if I was paying my phone bill by direct debit, I told him that’s got nothing to do with stopping these annoying calls. He kept asking the same thing and I kept saying no, then he just ended the call!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent asking for Mr ***. Told him he wasn’t there - no surprise since he passed away 5 years ago. Then the bloke just started yelling, “Mr *** talk to me, we're trying to help you.” I asked what company he was with and he just ended the call. Definitely some dodgy scam, probably saw I wasn’t some easy target and backed off quick. Strange way to try and scam someone.

Today I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying they could help stop annoying calls, just like others have mentioned. After hanging up, I dialled 1471 and the number that came up was 002030639123 - so yeah, it is definately that exact number people are warning about here.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from the TPS about nuisance calls we were still getting. When I said yes, he told me they had to re-register us or something. He then asked for my name, address and if we pay bills by direct debit. I kept asking why he needed all this info but he just kept saying it was a TPS ID check. We got stuck in a loop and I ended up hanging up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the TPS. They wanted me to verify my address first. Then, they moved on to check if I usually pay my phone bill through monthly Direct Debit. After that, they asked if my credit card expired in mmm yy. I was like, hang on, why are we talking about this stuff over the phone? So I just ended the call.

Keep getting calls from this number, they always ask for someone using my old surname. It felt dodgy right away. No matter how many times I’ve explained that no one with that name lives here, they just won’t stop phoning!

This number called me but as soon as I answered and said hello, they just ended the call. Quite annoying and intrusive if you ask me.

This number keeps ringing me up claiming they can block unwanted calls but then ask for my card info. I’m pretty careful nowadays and never hand over my bank details over the phone to anyone. Just a heads up to everyone, it’s a total scam and really annoying too!

Some bloke pretending to be from TPS tried telling me he could block all the annoying calls - what a joke! Ended up telling him to get lost when he didn’t get his way. Proper scam, that one.

Honestly, I find these scam calls kinda amusing. I try to drag the conversation out as long as possible - if they wanna mess with my time, then I’ll do the same to theirs. Plus, every minute I tie them up means they’re not bugging some other poor soul. Feels like I’m doing a little public service, you know? Of course, I’m careful not to share any of my own info with them.

I got a call from someone saying they were with TPS, but then they started asking for my bank info. Surely the police should be doing something about these scams?

Over the last day, I’ve had about half a dozen calls from people saying they’re from some sort of nuisance call blocking outfit. I told them their calls were exactly what we’re trying to avoid, but they didn’t seem bothered and just kept ringing us. We’re already signed up with the TPS, so it makes no sense. They say they’re from Telephone Preference Management, but they’re actually using call centres based in Asia. Looking up TPM in the company records shows it actually went bust back in July 2016. It’s driving me mad, especially since all this started only yesterday with these constant interruptions.
