8 yearsI recently received a phone call purporting that there was a legal case concerning tax evasion hanging over my head. The person on the line spoke fluent English and inquired whether I had any private or other pension plans. It was clearly a scam! Please be cautious and alert others about this.8 yearsI just had a rather peculiar phone call from a woman with an unmistakable English accent, claiming that there’s supposedly a lawsuit against me for delinquent taxes. She pried into whether I had any form of pension, private or otherwise. When I responded that I wasn’t employed and firmly stated her claims were erroneous, she continued to push for answers. I reiterated that I had not received any correspondence regarding this and pointed out that I’m not even of pensionable age yet! I mentioned I’m a carer for my mother and suggested she might want to do a bit more research before making such allegations. One thing I’m certain of is that if you haven’t settled your tax obligations, you certainly wouldn’t receive a phone call about it.
