My daughters phone got a call from this number. She called it back without knowing what it was, and now, Ive been hit with a bill close to £50!

They dug up employee names from the site and came up with some story about how you've won because you're the best customer or something. Honestly, just a load of nonsense.

Said they were from the fraud dept in London. Still going on, might be legit. If not, I'll treat this number as possibly risky for now. Can’t share the full number just yet in case the call was real. Putting it out there now might put me in danger.

Received a call from 00151### earlier today. My phone redirected it to voicemail, yet no message was recorded. Did some digging online and found that it’s not a legitimate number. Could it be a scam?

Got a call from 0015196369317 with some recorded message about an Amazon payment. Seemed dodgy to me, so I just ignored it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon saying there was some dodgy activity on my account for about £1499. It was a recorded message with a man speaking really proper English. Don't even think about pressing 1 or 2 like they ask, it's clearly a scam. Make sure you report it. The number was 0015198564987.

Got a call claiming to be from Amazon, with a recorded voice saying there was some shady activity on my Amazon account and a £1,400 purchase was made, and apparently they've frozen my account! The message told me to "Press 1 to report this" or "Press 2 for other choices"!!! I just hung up straight away!! No way can anyone spend money on my Amazon or use my debit without knowing my passwords and codes! Such a stressful and shady call. As if things aren’t bad enough with Covid-19, now these scammers are just adding to the misery. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THESE CALLS - JUST HANG UP IMMEDIATELY.

Got a call from some unknown number, but as soon as I picked up they hung up. When I tried calling back, it showed up as a fax machine number. Bit odd, really.

0015113018567 - total scam, shows up as an international number then switches to a local area code. They really ought to be banned. I just block 'em on my landline by dialling 1572, that stops loads of these calls. Had like 6 of them today already, just gotta keep blocking!

Got a call earlier today from 0015136488582. The person said they were from Microsoft and told me my computer was hacked. I told them I only use an iPad. They insisted it was legit and said my identity could be stolen for criminal activity. After some digging, I found out it's a complete scam. There’s a Webologist article from June 2013 called Windows Security and the W3C Validators Telephone scam, which matches exactly what happened to me and states it’s all a con.

Got a call from a woman with a strange accent at 0015189069733. She asked for someone who’s not at this address. Seemed fishy, like a scam trying to sell something.

Strong foreign accent, really hard to catch what they were saying in English.

Got calls from 0015194960462 two days running. An Asian bloke asking to talk to whoever holds the Sky account. Both times at the same hour. Pretty odd.

I keep getting calls from 0015199960 and 07052130897 everyday, always saying money was taken from my account about 15 minutes ago for some foreign payment and to press 1 if I want to cancel. They never give a name or any real info. Sounds like a total scam to me, best not to pick up!

Got a dodgy call from someone saying they wanna buy my Glaxo shares!

Got a call from 001513394985 saying there was a £6,000 charge on my credit card. Sounds like absolute rubbish to me since I’ve got more than enough cash, don’t even bother with credit cards.

Received a call claiming to be from the Visa Security Team, stating they had identified a suspicious transaction of £###.### linked to my bank account. They urged me to press 1 to connect with a so-called Security Consultant. The English accent was rather mechanical and forced, leading me to suspect it was a scam.

0015153295679. Some woman tried to con me outta 10,000 quid. She was a right nice looking lady I met online. We emailed back and forth for around 2 weeks, and she sent me plenty pictures of herself. She claimed she was from Columbus, Ohio, said she was American. Told me her son had been in a serious accident and I actually believed her cos I’d lost my own son the same way. Long story short, after a couple of weeks she asked me to lend her 10,000 for the lad’s operation. That’s when I twigged it was all a scam. Watch out for stuff like this!

0015122822806 is a total scam. The bloke sounds Indian and says your BT internet isn't safe. He's likely gonna try and get control of your PC. Just hang up and don’t trust him!!!

I received a call from 00151### at about 9.###am on the 7th of January. The moment I saw the number, I had a hunch it was likely a scam. Consequently, I chose not to pick up on my landline. I'll keep an eye on it and plan to inform the Telephone Preference Service about it.

I just blocked this number too, its the 4th dodgy call i’ve had today from 0015124115371, absolute scam!

I got billed £38.33 for a phone call I never actually made.

I received a call on my landline today from this number. A bloke with an Indian accent was on the other end, trying to convince me to change the security number for my bank credit card. I had a strong suspicion it was a scam, so I told him to back off and to not ring me again.

The person told me it was TalkTalk, but when I mentioned I only have an iPad and no computer, they just ended the call. The caller sounded Indian.

Honestly, these scammers from Pakistan or India are the worst - they wouldn’t even hesitate to cheat their own family. They try all sorts of tricks and fibs to get your personal info. My advice? Have a laugh at their expense, string them along with loads of made-up details. Use up their time just like they waste yours. Then, don’t hold back - tell them exactly how nasty and low you think they are. They’re the kind of people who prey on elderly and vulnerable folks with zero morals. Absolute scumbags. Don’t be shy, let them know what a disgrace they are!

got a call from a number starting with 00151, the person said they were from talk-talk. i’m pretty sure it’s a scam but they had way too much info, even mentioning stuff from old talks with talk-talk before. starting to think someone inside talk-talk might be sharing info with them.
