Over the past few weeks, I have been bombarded with numerous scam calls that have caused me quite a bit of distress. The individuals on the other end often pretend to be representatives from BT and try to convince me that there has been a breach in my internet security. Unfortunately, I fell for this tactic initially and was tricked into downloading remote access software onto my device. Why can't these phone numbers be traced, and the people responsible for these scams be held accountable? I have diligently made a note of all the scam numbers I have received, so it seems logical that the authorities should be able to identify the culprits and take appropriate action. Nowadays, when I receive such calls, I promptly hang up without engaging in any conversation.

Got a call from 001525617332 yesterday at 10.52am, didn’t know the number, so I just ignored it. The phone rang for ages, so don’t go picking up if you don’t know it. If we all just stop answering unknown numbers, they’re the ones wasting their time. Same goes for those blocked numbers - why hide who you are unless you’re dodgy? If it’s someone you know, they should show their number so you feel safe picking up these days.

Got a call from 00152 60139 9901 saying it was an "energy check," said it was backed by UK energy companies and calling from South Shields - total load of rubbish, sounded like a Jamaican scam! Definitely adding this one to the block list.

Be extremely cautious of these individuals as they utilize not only the number 00132 but also various mobile numbers. Their actions have led me to keep my phone on constant answering machine due to the continuous harassment.

I receive two calls every day from the same number. Despite blocking the number, I still receive the calls and they go to voicemail. However, the callers never leave a message. It has become extremely frustrating; I am tired of dealing with these calls. I often wonder why there is no way to put an end to them. Once, I nearly fell victim to a scam. They tried to extort £450 from me by threatening to disrupt my laptop's functioning. However, I managed to avoid any harm by unplugging everything and restarting my laptop hours later, and luckily, it was back to normal. We need urgent action in order to stop these individuals who all seem to have Asian accents.

Today, on 24 September, I received a call from someone who claimed to be representing Windows. The caller inquired about the name of the computer owner, to which I firmly declined to provide any information. Suspecting something fishy, I asked the caller to reveal his identity. That's when he responded with offensive language, saying "f*** off you Mother f***er." Surprisingly, instead of taking offense to my lack of reaction, both the caller and his accomplice seemed to find it amusing as they repeated the abuse before ending the call. It's worth mentioning that the caller had an Indian accent.
