as soon as i picked up the phone the person on the other end just hung up. luckily, BT1572 is a handy tool for sorting these things out. i saw the number was listed as "unrecognized" through 1474, so i used the personal settings on 1572 to block all unrecognized callers by choosing option 2, followed by option 3 to send them straight to junk. i’m pretty happy i’m with BT for my phone line because this free feature really helps me dodge these annoying calls.

They rang me three times in about ten minutes. Every time I picked up, there was no one there, then they’d just hang up. On the third try, a bloke with an Indian accent asked if he could speak to my wife by name. When I said she wasn’t in, he just ended the call right away without saying anything else.

Every now and then I get a call from this number. When I pick up, there's just silence for a moment, then a recorded voice says 'goodbye' and hangs up. I tried checking it with call protect but it never flags this number or anything like it as suspicious or anything.
