As soon as I pick up the phone, the person on the other end disconnects the call.

On the 10th of December 2015 at 11:22 am, a telephone call was received. However, the caller quickly disconnected after the call was answered.

I found it quite amusing when I received a call from a person asking for the Business Owner, even though this used to be a business number in the past. Curiosity led me to inquire about the caller's identity. It turned out to be a lady of Asian descent with a strong accent, representing either BR or PR line. She mentioned that she was calling regarding my BT line and claimed that she could lower the cost to just £9.

In response, I asked her politely if she could hold the line while I transferred her to the telecommunications department. Pretending to search for the extension number, I played the cheesiest track I could find on YouTube as background music. I informed her that she was going to be transferred and asked her to hold on, then placed the phone down on speaker mode and walked away. When I eventually picked up the phone again, she had hung up.

Well, that's one number I have decided to block.

When I was asked if I was the owner by someone on the phone, they promptly ended the call after I replied in the negative. However, little did they know that I am indeed the owner of the business. I usually choose not to disclose this fact during what I perceive as "unsolicited calls". Since they are not a customer, I simply have no interest in engaging further!

I decided not to answer the call because I have caller ID and noticed that the number was one digit too long. Therefore, it must be some kind of scam.

Something didn't seem right when I received a call, and when I attempted to dial the person back on the displayed number, it was unreachable. Since I had others waiting in my office, I had to end the call abruptly. The individual claimed to be affiliated with BT Open Reach and stated that they were going to terminate my line rental. But I couldn't understand why they would need to contact me about this matter over the phone.

I have just purchased the BT8500 telephone system, which is absolutely excellent for handling unwanted calls. When you come across a number that you know is spam, rubbish, or simply unwanted, you can easily block it. With this system, your phone will never ring when a blocked number attempts to reach you. If the call is from someone you are familiar with, you can permanently allow them to contact you without any issues. It's truly a remarkable phone, and I wish I could earn a commission for recommending it! :-D

Hello there, this particular telephone number has been consistently calling on a daily basis, but unfortunately, there is no one on the other end of the line engaging in conversation. Instead, they abruptly end the call. This recurring behavior has become quite vexing!
