I recently had quite an unsettling experience with a woman who purported to assist with the USA Green Card Lottery via a site called USAFIS.ORG. She requested my credit card details to process a fee of approximately £1,500. When I declined to provide her with the security code, she then forwarded me a link for online payment and continued to bombard me with calls throughout the day. I decided against making any payments and began my own investigation into the site's legitimacy. The results were perplexing, offering mixed reviews both in favour of and against the site. Eventually, I found this page which seemed to shed some light: http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/usafisorg-new-york-c257785.html. In the end, I stood my ground and made it clear to her that I wouldn't be paying the fees, despite her refusal to share her name-it’s rather disconcerting, to say the least.
