I double checked with Scotia and this number isn't theirs, it's a scam. They're also using another number which is 1-855-475-1557. Watch out!

My phone keeps ringing like 4 or 5 times daily from these people claiming to be from Scotia Bank. They say it's about some personal banking issue. I checked with my local branch and they confirmed everything's all good on my account. Totally spammy calls. Best just to ignore them.

I actually have both a credit card and mortgage with Scotiabank, and they normally leave a voicemail if there's a problem. But today, this number rang my home 4 times within a couple hours. When I tried calling back, all I got was a voice saying someone would assist me soon, then some hold music, and after waiting 5 minutes, nothing happened. I checked the numbers I have for Scotiabank, and none of them match this one.
