I got a call from this number, and they kept repeating the exact same thing mentioned earlier.

Finally, someone nailed his name correctly - it’s Rev Liner. He rang me on the 19th of August, threatening me to return the call or else my solicitor would get involved, saying ignoring it would lead to court troubles. Honestly, with him harassing loads of folks with the same spiel, you can tell it’s just a complete scam. Don’t let yourself get caught up in this rubbish, folks!

This happened to me too, some bloke rang saying I’d be arrested in 15 minutes. I was like, how can you do that if you don’t even know my identity or location? They claimed they’d tracked my phone and kept accusing me of being a criminal. I lost it and gave him a proper earful before he finally hung up on me.

Yeah, definitely a con. The person on the phone had a thick South Asian accent that was really hard to make out. They kept warning me not to ignore their message and said I better get my lawyer to call back, or else some legal mess would start happening to me. Honestly, I’m not falling for that rubbish. Total rip-off.

Had the exact same experience, so I thought I'd look up the number first. Both blokes had really strong Indian or Pakistany accents when they spoke. Glad I checked before picking up properly.

I tried ringing that number again and the person who answered claimed to be from the Canada Revenue Agency. The bloke sounded like he had a really strong Indian accent and I could barely catch half of what he was saying. They said something about me being taken to court by the government and about someone representing me. But when I asked for further details, they just cut the call. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

Got home and saw a voicemail from this number but it was only half there. They said to find a lawyer and ring them back fast cause I was in big trouble. Honestly, if it was anything legit, they’d have left a full message, right? Pretty sure it’s just a load of rubbish.

Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be with the CRA, saying there was some kind of tax fraud on my account and telling me or my solicitor to ring back right away. They even said not to delete the message. It's definitely a scam - I’ve heard a few folks got calls like this lately. The safest move is to report it straight to the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre.

Got a call saying I owed back taxes from CRA. They gave me a badge number and told me to ring back on extension 12 once I had a lawyer sorted. Total SCAM!

This number just rang me up and at first I figured it might be legit. Luckily, I decided to do a quick google search and found loads of posts on different forums warning it’s a scam. Honestly, I want these people called out. I really hope no one else wastes their time like I did. They had me on the phone for almost an hour! Such a pain.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the Office of Rev Liner, telling me it's urgent and that if I or my lawyer doesn't get in touch soon, they'll have to move forward with some kind of action. Really felt pressured and a bit worried to be honest.

Today, Aug 16, 2016 at around 5:10pm I missed a call from 1.866.558.2273, so I checked my voicemail. The message said for me or my lawyer to ring back on 1.888.433.7884 right away. I could tell straight away it was a total "SCAM". The CRA never phones you - they always send a letter instead.

Beware, they claim to be from the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) saying you need to call back or there’ll be serious trouble.

It’s definitely a scam, seems like the calls are coming from Manila in the Philippines.
