I received a message stating my computer would be shut down and disabled. So I decided to call the number provided. The person on the line requested the code, and although hesitant, I gave it to them. They then instructed me to pull up the RUN app, but before following their instructions, something didn't feel right and I hung up the call. That's when I decided to do some research and found this website. As a precaution, I also changed my Wi-Fi password.

Have you given them access to your computer? They then use a system key to lock it, but there are common codes that these scammers rely on, such as 1234 or 1122 - a combination of the two.

I received a similar alert and proceeded to make a call, where a lady answered. Initially, I allowed her to access my computer until she requested my credit card number. Suspecting something was amiss, I politely put her on hold and decided to search for the telephone number on Google. Indeed, my suspicions were confirmed as it turned out to be a scam. With that knowledge, I immediately asked the woman to terminate her access to my account. She tried to argue with me and inquired about the problem. Recognizing her true intentions as fraudulent, I abruptly ended the call and shut down my computer. Now, I am currently in the process of rebooting and refreshing my system, hoping for the best outcome.

My computer displayed a alarming message, urging me to seek assistance due to a trojan virus infection. I immediately contacted the help number provided, and a gentleman named Shane Tyler, who spoke with an Indian accent, identified himself as a Microsoft representative based in Washington state. To my surprise, he already had control over my computer and was operating numerous applications. Expressing concern, I demanded him to cease his actions. In response, he insisted that he was attempting to aid me but provided vague explanations when pressed for details. Feeling uneasy about the situation, I decided to end the call abruptly and proceeded to remove all the unwanted software from my computer before shutting it down completely.

BEWARE OF THIS PHONE NUMBER, AS IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH A SCAM. The number is linked to a fraudulent online help service that aims to deceive you into granting access to your computer. They will then install supposedly "useful" software to fix issues related to a Trojan horse webpage. DO NOT follow their instructions on how to address PC problems, as they are the ones causing the problem in the first place. Their ultimate goal is to access your data for malicious purposes and potentially sell you unsafe software. Stay vigilant!
