This is definitely a nefarious scam. The scammers falsely claim to know your name (gathered from the phone directory in most cases) and that your Windows OS is infected, even though they have no way of knowing that as you may have multiple PCs. However, if you allow them access to your PC(s), they will indeed infect it with malware and steal all your data!

Most people tend to rely on their local pharmacy when it comes to handling their medication needs. However, it's highly unlikely that these individuals possess extensive knowledge about the specific medications you are taking.

Today, I received a phone call from a person introducing themselves as Robert Williams. They claimed to be calling from an Rx Pharmacy and wanted information about the medication I was taking. Upon realizing that this was a potential scam, I became aware it was a fraudulent activity due to my knowledge of Foip regulations. Consequently, I took immediate action by reporting the incident to the pharmacy, the police, and also contacting the fraud center. Interestingly, during my interaction with the scammer, he unintentionally mentioned that the call originated from Pakistan. This slip-up occurred while I firmly confronted him about his deceitful actions. Moreover, I cleverly recorded our conversation and plan on retrieving it in order to share it as evidence. Hence, in light of these alarming circumstances, it is vital to stay cautious and vigilant in protecting ourselves from such deceptive practices.

Sounds like a typical phishing scam - a caller claiming there is a critical issue on your computer and offering to provide assistance in solving it.

I received a call from a gentleman with a Pakistani accent who requested access to my computer. Later, he called again and offered me a discount of 50% on prescription drugs. This individual can be quite impolite, to the point of cursing at my husband and me. I would advise being cautious and staying alert when dealing with him.

Several individuals, including a person named "Carl," representing various companies such as "Windows Space" and "Ask PC-expert," have been persistent in calling me numerous times. During the initial conversation, I attentively listened to their spiel but did not grant them access to my computer. However, I have since strictly advised them to cease contact. Interestingly, each call appears to be conducted by the same individual, easily identifiable by their distinctive Pakistani or Indian accent.

I recently received a phone call from this specific number. The individual on the other end introduced himself as Dylan and insisted that I should urgently access my computer due to some issues it was facing. In response, I inquired about his middle name and conjectured that his mother probably never intended for him to become a scammer or proficient in deceitful practices. Moreover, I asked if he would allow me to recite the Lord's Prayer for him, which led him to abruptly disconnect the call.

I am being called at 8am and 9pm daily by the same individual, who appears to be of Pakistani origin. Although I have kindly requested them to stop calling on several occasions, they continue to do so. Consequently, I have resorted to raising my voice and promptly ending the call when they awaken me. Can you offer any assistance or advice on how to put an end to these intrusive calls?

As my phone began to ring, I answered to find a gentleman on the other end claiming to be calling from Windows about my computer. Sensing something fishy, I informed him that I would contact him myself, and he kindly provided me with a contact number. Upon dialling the number, much to my surprise, a message informed me that it had been temporarily suspended.

Does anyone have any advice on how to put an end to these annoying phone calls? I've repeatedly asked the callers to remove my number from their list, but they stop for only three months and then start calling again. I would like to request their address so that I can send a letter from a solicitor. I believe that if I notify them in writing, and they persist in calling me, I have grounds to take legal action against them for harassment.

Last night, I received a call from Ask PC Expert for the second time. They seemed quite convincing, but when they asked me to type in "support.me," it turned out to be a fraudulent attempt. Upon informing them about the scam, they provided me with a number to call back and verify their authenticity. However, the only way I could get rid of them was by assuring them that I would give them a call later.
