I rarely pick up unknown numbers, but this morning I accidentally answered a call from a guy with an Indian accent who claimed my computer was at risk. Normally, I’d just ignore calls like this, but today I slipped up and took it.

When I asked which operating systems he supported, he just said all of them. So I challenged him to name an Apple OS and that’s when he started to fumble. I then told him I work with the NSA and would be flagging his bogus number, wished him a good day, and warned he wouldn’t be getting through again. After that, I went ahead and blocked him.

When I asked him which operating systems he worked with, he just said all of them. Then I asked him to name an Apple OS and you could tell he was getting a bit lost. I then told him I do some contracting for the NSA and that I’d be reporting his dodgy number. I wished him a good day and said he won't be calling me again - I went ahead and blocked him.

So, this lady called me with an Indian accent claiming she wanted to help fix some issue with my computer. I wasn’t buying it and just ended the call. When I told her she sounded like a scammer, she got really rude and offended.

I reckon these crooks try to get you to type a website address so they can sneak some malware onto your computer and then mess around with it. I told one bloke that he wasn’t really “Harry” like he claimed, sounded more like an Abdul to me with that accent. He didn’t take it well, told me "up yours". Proper unprofessional if ya ask me... made me laugh though!

I just got a call from this number and it was a woman speaking with a really thick Indian accent. She started asking if I’d gotten emails from two fellas - their names didn’t ring any bells to me. Then she insisted I open my Windows Mail so she could show me those emails supposedly waiting for me there. I told her I actually use an Apple, not Windows. She sounded a bit surprised and kept asking if I was sure it was an Apple computer. I confirmed it was, and then suddenly the call cut off. Tried ringing back the number but no answer. Bit creepy if you ask me. I’m definitely blocking this one.

Today, I had a call from a man speaking with a thick Indian accent. He told me that three people were using my wifi and even gave me their names - Rem Charera, Ruf Blake and Thomas Dimitri. He wanted me to turn on my computer, but I didn’t bother. Instead, I asked him for his name and he said John Morris, which sounded really odd for someone with his accent. Pretty sure it was a scammer ringing from India or somewhere nearby.

Got a call just now from this number, and the bloke on the line had a strong Indian accent. He claimed to be from tech support and said there were two unknown users on my computer. I told him to stop lying and ended the call straight away. At first, I couldn’t catch what he was saying, and when I asked him to repeat, he snapped at me to just listen. That’s when I knew it was a scam. These sorts of calls are really annoying and should be stopped. This isn’t the first time I've had one, and a quick search shows this number’s been pulling scams for over four years now.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was from Windows. He rattled off some names, saying they were trying to hack my PC. Then he insisted I was a senior citizen according to his records. When I told him I wasn’t, he asked if I was underage. After I said no, he went on to ask my exact age. At that point, I just hung up. He tried ringing back a couple of times; I ignored the first call. On the second call, when I finally picked up, he rudely asked what issue I had. I told him he was the problem and told him to stop calling me. He called again later, but I didn’t bother answering.

Someone just called saying our computer was infected with a virus and insisted I switch it on so they could “fix” it. The person’s accent wasn’t English, so I told them firmly to stop ringing us and warned I’d inform the police about their scam attempt. Absolutely not falling for that!

This guy keeps ringing us up nearly every day. Even after we blocked his number, he just won’t give up. We finally spoke to a bloke with an Indian accent, who got really rude and carried on calling after we told him to leave us alone. Seriously, someone should put an end to this.

I've been getting loads of dodgy calls recently, definitely reckon they’re scams. It’s proper annoying how often they ring up.
