Got a call from a number starting with 778, which I already blocked ages ago. The voice on the other end was an English speaking guy telling me to ring back and provide some info within 3 days or there'd be some kind of consequence. Pretty dodgy if you ask me. The number he wanted me to call was 844-850-8881. I just ignored it.

This number has been causing trouble with my sister’s contacts. I got some pic messages from it. I switched on my data to get pics from my sister, but the messages vanish. I asked my sister if she sent any pics and she said no. Also, last week this number popped up on her son’s phone as “Mom” with 4 missed calls. He called our mum back but she never rang him. Weird stuff.

I've put this number on block but it still manages to send me texts and leave messages. Feels like some kind of robot calling, cause every morning at exactly 8:09 they ring and keep doing it all day. Wish I had come across this earlier! I ended up texting back asking them to quit messaging me. My number used to belong to someone else, and I've been getting texts with their name on it. The message goes something like "There is an imprtant (yep, spelled that way!) message waiting for (NAME IN CAPS). Ring 18448508881 and quote 1140887030 for info." I've blocked the number now, fingers crossed it puts an end to these annoying texts.
