I received a call from a number linked to an area code I didn’t recognise, so I decided to let it ring off. As per usual, the answering machine picked up, but the caller just ended the call without leaving a message. I’ve since added that number to my block list.

Definitely a scam! It’s a robotic call, so best to avoid answering it altogether. If you have the option, just block the number.

I received a pre-recorded call stating, 'We've attempted to reach you on several occasions concerning a reduction in your CREDIT CARD interest rate. This is your last opportunity. Press 1 to connect with an agent immediately, or press 2 to continue with your current elevated rate.' It’s clearly a scam, so don’t engage-just hang up the phone!

They've rung me five times so far today. When my husband picked up, there was utter silence on the line. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.
